I have done a serious research while looking for a company that could provide full packing and moving of my 4 bedroom house into my new home few miles away. I spoke with different moving company's managers, received different quotes and in the end decided to go with Cloud9 Moving because of the best quote and most importantly the most friendly and professional moving coordinator, Irene.

Quite possibly the worst customer service experience I have ever had with a professional organization! Please forgive my long-winded essay of a review, but I feel it is necessary to share my experience for others to see. My wife and I had purchased a Groupon for Cloud9 Moving Company for their moving services due to fair pricing and positive reviews that we researched online. My wife set up a moving date several weeks in advance with Irene, the manager, and moving coordinator...

I bought a LivingSocial deal for 2 movers, a truck, and 3 hours for $250. When I contacted them, they added another $350 in fees - $99 for a treadmill, $99 for a mini fridge, $99 for a deep freezer the size of a mini fridge, $49 for packing and handling a China cabinet (we don't have a China cabinet but their lists didn't have an option for a 6' shelf with a door).
They also told us that we had to get 4 movers and a larger truck even though I told them I don't need them to move everything, just the big stuff and anything else that would fit in the small truck.

WOW WOW WOW! Cloud 9 made a stressful move so much more easy. The team was kind, congenial, on time, professional and just hands down a great group of guys. They were also in good spirits the whole time, despite the labor and some other hi-jinks that ensued. We had packed everything up ourselves, and had some carts and tools--but they still came SUPER prepared with everything we needed and more. I also want to shout out the office manager IRENE for being a blessing and helping us book our movers. We accidentally let a set of keys walk off with the movers, and Irene hand-delivered them back to us

I will always give credit where credit is due. Following my review expressing dissatisfaction, Irene, the Cloud9 Manager, contacted me and notified me that Cloud9 had refunded my Groupon, that evening she personally drove to my house and refunded the remaining amount in cash. While it was not my intent to write a poor review to receive a refund, I do appreciate the efforts Irene took to right a wrong. In the future, I would ask Cloud9 to be empathetic during extraordinary circumstances (like when a customers home catches on fire during the move). Something as simple as, "don't worry about

I'm really disappointed in the way this company treats potential customers. As soon as I mentioned my Groupon, the employee started to treat me like a third-class customer. She was rude, loud and argumentative. There is no way that I would trust my worldly goods to a company that treats their customers with such disrespect. Very disappointed.

Irene was extremely nice on the phone. I had difficulty arranging for the freight elevator at both destinations, so I had to move late in the day. Irene actually went to one of the locations in person to talk to the family that had reserved the elevator and learned they would finish much earlier than expected, and adjusted my move to be earlier free of charge.
The movers wore masks and were very fast and respectful. There was a delay waiting to get access to the freight elevator at my destination, and I was not charged for the waiting time.

I would highly recommend this company for your move. They were professional and efficient from the time I called to get a quote to the follow up after the move. When the movers arrived (on time), they surveyed the apartment and then got to work. They finished within the time allotted and were extremely efficient.

I recently moved into a new condo and Cloud9 made my life a whole lot easier. I was going to do the move myself, however I decided to reach out to a few companies and Irene emailed me within moments with amazing moving detail/pricing/etc. I was worried about the pandemic and social distancing, but Irene settled all of my nerves by accomodating for a safe distance pickup and drop off amy new condo. I had a basic, straightforward move, and Cloud9 did a great job in making it happen. Irene, the manager, was very pleasant and easy to deal with. When the movers were late to arrive because of DC traffic, she called me to explain in advance. The price was good, and there were no pesky "extras" that were added. I can fully recommend this local company.

Actually you did tell me it would take longer because of the stairs. And you did tell me you couldn't do out of state moves because of insurance reasons. I have no reason to lie, you as a company do. I had all intentions of hiring you until half a move cost the same as a whole move.
Best of luck but trying to lie on Yelp to save your ridiculous estimate and insurance problems is pretty shady to future customers.

I would also give them 5 stars but with the Groupon of 275.00 which includes 4 hours..The work was almost 8 hours due to the following; extra distance from truck to apt 275.00, disassemble and reassemble a wardrobe and daybed 75 each 300.00, surcharge 5% of using a credit card.
Grand total 1276.00!!!
I fed them coffee through the day, pizza, more beverages and gave them an extra 20.00 each for tip for two guys.
Not sure if I'm gonna make the next rent payment..lol

Wow, these guys are nothing short of amazing. I ended up going with them because, of all the companies I contacted, Irene was so very kind and friendly. The three guys that showed up were awesome; they loaded all of the stuff in the truck in less than 40 minutes, and the entire move, including the drive to the house & unloading, took less than 1.5 hours total. Talk about hard workers! I'll always Cloud9 for moving
