North Branch Veterinary Hospital
Dr. Al Kemplin, Dr. Jordan Laseke, Dr. Geri Mortenson and our team are committed to bringing you and your pets better health by practicing the science of Veterinary Medicine. North Branch Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1973. Dr Al Kemplin took the hospital over in the summer of 1995. Since then our staff has been performing veterinary medicine and compassionate animal care in the North Branch area.

North Branch Veterinary Hospital is a full-service animal hospital whose mission is to provide the highest standard of quality and compassion in veterinary care for our patients, informative and supportive service for our clients, while maintaining a superior working environment for our employees.
Services
North Branch Veterinary Hospital would like to take this opportunity to welcome you, your family, and your special family member to our website. As you continue to browse and explore our website, it is our hope that you will learn more about our dedication to your family and the quality veterinary medicine and service we provide.
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately.
1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill. 2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) checks, cash, and Care Credit. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.
Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that enables surgeries to be done with an operating hole that is just one centimeter wide or less than 1/2 of an inch. It provides animals with a superior quality of care and precision for routine surgeries such as spays and neuters as well as for surgeries such as exploratories.
North Branch Veterinary Hospital offers laser surgery for their patients. Instead of using a scalpel blade or scissors, the doctors use a CO2 laser to do the cutting. The laser cuts and seals the blood vessels and nerve endings. This results in less bleeding, less pain, less swelling, reduced risk of infection, and a faster recovery.

Very attentive and caring team. Love that they follow up with us after certain visits and they work hard to make sure all questions are answered. Have been with them since 1996 and couldn't imagine taking our fur- babies elsewhere.

Our dog had a ear infection. We were able to get him in right away. Where as our old vet had a 6 week wait. We are very happy that we switched over.

Our dog was seen by Kate french. One of the first thing she says is how our dogs mix breed is a very bad mix. (Siba inu mixed eskimo). Proceeded to ask questions on allergies and neutering and she made us feel dumb for even asking. Then proceeded to muzzle our dog which is fine but our dog hasnt been to vet in a couple years so didnt know what to… expect. Everything went well but she suggests next time we drug our dog when he comes in and has extra restraints.. HES 18lbs?! If u cant handle a dog without drugging him maybe u shouldnt be a vet. Our dog didnt growl, didnt snarl, didnt show

I have had sick dogs. Had a cough upper respiratory infection. They have been wonderful at getting this taken care of. I also had to put one of my dogs down during this time. He was almost 15. They were very kind and compassionate. Making a difficult decision just a little easier. Dr French has called me back a few times to see how the dogs are and is very willing to answer my questions. All the staff has been incredibly kind and considerate. I've called a few times and they have always been patient and kind. I will definitely come back. They are also great at getting the dogs in when needed .

I have had multiple bad experiences with this vet clinic. But the one that will stick with me is when my dog was 2-3 days after giving birth, and she was only nursing on one side. All my research had said it could be three things. Placenta still inside her, a stillborn still inside her, or a calcium deficiency. After running hundreds of dollars on… tests, they said nothing was wrong and to go back home. I repeatedly asked if she could at least get calcium vitamins. The vet finally allowed me to have some. And by the end of the day she was nursing well. It was so frustrating trying to advocate

I have been bringing my pets to NB Veterinary Hospital for over a decade, and they have always received exceptional care. The doctors always take time to explain conditions and procedures, and have helped me to become a better pet parent, especially as my pets have aged, and required more care. I am glad we have such a quality service in our community.

Great staff - from the front desk to the lab technicians, to the Veterinary assistants to all the Staff Doctors. Been taking our dogs there for over eight years, always had a great experience. Often bring the dog into the office just to get a current weight, the dogs are so well treated that they/we enjoy going thru their doors!

I cannot give enough thanks for Dr. Kemplin and all of his Staff at NBVH for all of the care they provided to our pets for over 15 years. And...if you are looking for a really good groomer they offer that too. I took my very old and very over due miniature poodle to Dawn for a bath and clipping and she did an amazing job with Maggie. She is very kind and gentle and I highly recommend her. I no longer live near NBVH but it is still the only place I go for my animals well being. THANK YOU ALL.
