French Twist Salon was founded in 2012 by Master Stylist/Colorist Hayley Bateman, whose focus was to build a hidden gem in the heart of the community. Our Newburyport hair salon was originally located on Middle Street, but has since been relocated to Water Street in downtown Newburyport, Massachusetts.
Whether you're looking for that smooth, sleek, straight look, or you want to keep your curl and just lose the frizz, you can achieve a result that is perfect for you. Lasts for up to 12 weeks. A formaldehyde free hair straightener composed of vitamins and tropical fruit extracts. You can achieve pin straight results, while also being able to create frizz free curls for up to 6 months.

Hayley is very professional and extremely talented. She goes out of her way to fit you in (if you forget to make an appt.🙄)! I would highly recommend French Twist. And her dog Lily is pretty darn cute too.

I’ve been going to see Hayley for the last four years, and she’s the absolute best! She is always full of tons of energy, and has a great understanding of how different types of hair will or won’t work with certain hairstyles and lengths. If you’re in the surrounding Newburyport area, I highly recommend men and women search her out!

Best salon in Newburyport, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The whole team is great. Haley Bateman, the owner, has found her passion career & her results show it. She’s committed to ongoing education in her field and is a trainer to other stylists. I’m so grateful to Haley & her team, they nail my color, cut and blowout every time. My daughters all go to French Twist too. We are all fans!
