We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Staff members of Canon Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Robert G. Canon is the grandson of Alton and Gertrude McWilliams, who purchased the Waller Funeral Home in 1945.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

Honestly, there is no good place to start. So first, Canon definitely helped make the process of my dad's funeral a breeze. They were calm, understanding , helpful, informative and they definitely went out of their way to make things happen according to our family's wishes. There is just not enough words to describe our gratitude, The entire team there is extremely nice and personal. They will definitely receive more of our families business and will definitely recommend them to anyone that asks us recommendations. You cannot go wrong in entrusting them with your love ones funeral.

Robert took excellent care of our family's needs in both the recent loss of my mom as well as the loss of my dad two years ago. From a planning perspective he is patient and caring - but also very organized and methodical in his approach so as to not miss anything related to the details. When he says "I'll take care of it" you can rest assured it will be taken care of. He and his wife Jessica attended to every detail, and were present throughout the whole process: planning - visitation - service - graveside - and have communicated with us several times since. Robert is carrying on the tradition

Mr Canon helped us plan my mother-in-law's funeral. He was very kind, and gracious. They did an awesome job when they dressed her, and her makeup looked great. The business has been family run for years, and they have a good reputation. They walk you through every step. I highly recommend them for your loved one.

Do yourself a favor and go with another funeral home. We had THREE hours of viewing for my father and the owners mother kicked us out an hour early and to make matters worse she started undressing him infront of everybody! Who does that?! Have some respect for the dead! Then to make matters worse they charged us $700 for my fathers "urn" but when we got his ashes it was a simple plastic brown box! If you're looking for a nice urn then buy your own, don't waste your money here.
The only good person in this disrespectful establishment is the man who picked my father up from our home, he was very
