The Eye Care Center is one of the most complete eye care facilities in Upstate New York. In 1973, the practice started with two doctors and a small office in F.F. Thompson Hospital. Since then, the office has grown to locations in Canandaigua, Geneva, and Newark. Now, over 65 specialists and staff provide complete eye care to patients from all over the Finger Lakes Region.
Immediate opening for an Ophthalmic Assistant/Refracting Technician. This is for a high volume, professional ophthalmology practice, to assist the practice doctors in all matters involving patient care. This includes starting the patient visit, taking histories, initiating dilation, and completing refractions as appropriate.

She helped get me exactly where I needed to go. She helped get me the information that I needed. And she set me up with a good doctor to see.

Dr. Anna Rothstein is a board certified Oculoplastic, Reconstructive, and Cosmetic Surgeon. She specializes in a range of eyelid surgeries such as eyelid lifts, reducing under-eye bags, and eyelid reconstruction after removal of skin cancers. Dr. Rothstein has performed over 4,000 eyelid procedures.

I rarely follow up on doing reviews but this has been such a wonderful experience i couldn't resist. Dr. Holly Hinman is one of the most confident, experienced, professional eye doctor I have seen in the 5 years I have been suffering with eye issues. I will recommend her to anyone seeking solution to eye related issues.

I was having some blurry vision and looking for any eye care office that was open on a Saturday. I was referred to the Canandaigua Eye Care Center and Dr. Hwang was able to see me on Saturday at 5:30 pm. It was also Labor Day weekend. I was amazed and grateful that a doctor would be on call on a Saturday night on a holiday weekend. Dr. Hwang was wonderful, very reassuring, and gave me instructions for what to do in the future if my eye is bothering me again. I felt so relieved that I didn't have to wait until Tuesday (since Monday was Labor Day) to get my eye looked at. Thank you, Dr. Hwang.

First off, the staff was not friendly at all, from the front desk, to the assistant and ESPECIALLY the doctor who had NO bedside manor. I waited OVER an hour to see the doctor for TWO MINUTES!!! I literally looked at my watch. I could hear the staff right outside the room talking and laughing as I was waiting to be seen for the doctor to be paid to come in and say she needs a new script, see you in a year.. NO THANKS! I then waited 15 minutes to check out as there was only 1 checkout person, then was told it would be over 30 minutes to be able to look at glasses.. that’s when I took my script

Dr. Rothstein did an eyelid lift on me to improve my vision. My peripheral vision, in particular. My eyelids were hanging below my lash line. The surgery was is April 2021. My healing has been great and my vision has been improved so very much. My peripheral vision is 100% better. I am very happy that I had Dr. Rothstein do this surgery.

Regarding the low cost option noted by their response, shop around. You can get same quality frames for less (I checked afterwards - sharing this so you can do your homework first).
I wish I could rate the two separate businesses here. Entry receptionists are Awesome, Doctors and other medical assistants - Awesome. Five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 100%!!!

They are extremely uptight when it comes to the face mask. Now I appreciate that they are in people's faces

Just a note of appreciation. First, in September 2019, I noticed a pool of fluid in my eye. I called my eye doctor (not at The Eye Care Center) and they couldn't fit me in. Knowing it could be serious, I called The Eye Care Center, and was given an appointment that very day, around 11 am. Since I was prepping my (Canandaigua City School) classroom for the start of school, you were just a hop and skip away.
Dr. Ceravolo saw me and told me it was a retinal detachment, but I really had no idea what that entailed. She mentioned surgery, and I assured her I couldn't have it the next day as it was the

I just had my check-up and although I missed the usual great crew in Canandaigua - this time I had my appointment in Geneva. I felt very safe with the Covid-19 procedures they had in place. Dr. Ceravolo was great and the person that assisted her was friendly and patient with me. I'd recommend The Eye Care Center as the staff and doctors are great. Why go to Rochester for great care!

My wife's cataract surgeries were successful. Follow up visits were satisfactory, with the exception of the initial eyeglass prescription, which was redone at her request. The were glasses made there. One of the lenses fell out repeatedly. Returning to have it fixed was prompt and easy, however it happened too many times. The lens was not found the last time it fell out. This time, my wife was told she would be charged for the replacement. Our position is that the glasses were clearly defective, causing the lens to fall out four or more times. My wife refused to pay to have them fixed. She will

Just had my glasses repaired at the EYE CARE CENTER. A really nice young lady fixed them for me. She fixed the problem and also adjusted them for me. New to the area and now I have found a great eye care buisiness. What is really great, I live across the street. All the employees were very professional.
