Hi! My name is Annie Shah. I live in our beautiful South Reno home with my husband, son and our adorable mini-goldendoodle dog, Joey. I enjoy talking to the beautiful people in Reno and they made me feel at home instantly! I earned my ME.d in Early Childhood Education with specialization in curriculum and instruction from Arizona State University (GPA - 3.95) and have been working as a teacher since 2011.
Miss Annie is the lead teacher at Annie & Friends! preschool. She holds a double masters in early childhood education. Miss Annie completed her ME.d in Early Childhood Education with specialization in curriculum and instruction from Arizona State University (GPA - 3.98). Her high qualifications adds to her passion for teaching the young minds, which reflects in the unique and one-of-its kind learning environment that the preschool offers.

Annie and Friends is a hidden gem. My son went to a preschool we were pretty pleased with for the most part. My daughter went to another and it was not a fit. She started with Annie and it has been a wonderful experience. My daughter had a challenging time adjusting to preschool in general but Annie's kindness, warmth, cheerfulness, empathy helped so much. My daughter has felt loved and safe. Annie creates an individual curriculum for each child to meet their individual needs. She also has really fun and character-building themes. She does many hands-on activities with them and just fosters

We absolutely adore Annie & her school. Our daughter is in her 2nd year at the school & thriving! She's learned so much and has so many friends thanks to this school. Annie plans engaging lessons for the kiddos & sends a weekly write up of what they did at the end of week that is so helpful. Annie communicates well with parents & is always easy to talk to. I also feel that she truly cares about my child & offers the tender care that is so critical for little ones. I am already sad for preschool to end but I know my girl has been given a wonderful foundation thanks to Annie

We love Annie and Friends Preschool! Miss Annie has created a fun, engaging and nurturing leaning environment where she has helped our daughter learn and grow not just academically but also in the social/emotional aspect. We continue to be impressed by Miss Annie's clear and helpful communication in which she details not only what the class has been working on all week, but specific notes about our child. Our daughter loves school now, thank you Miss Annie!

Annie is absolutely amazing! Both my sons love her, they are constantly asking to go to school. She makes learning so much fun for them. In such a short amount of time, my 3 year old has leaned to write his name. He is so proud and constantly showing off all his school work. I highly recommend Annie and Friends preschool.

Annie is so wonderful! She is kind and adaptive with my daughter. We couldn't be more impressed with the warm preschool setting. She let's each child progress and explore at their speed, but adds her guidance to ensure each excels. The small class size of 4 to 1 ensures that important student/teacher one-on-one time. We are very lucky in Reno to have Annie. She has a double masters in early childhood education and could be teaching at the college level, but chooses to work directly with children. What an asset for our community! Highly recommend.

Miss Annie had a preview preschool class with my 4 year old daughter and it was wonderful! Annie is so kind and loving and my daughter instantly felt at home. The classroom is bright and lovely and engaging. The curriculum is appropriately themed (for seasons and age) and fun. My daughter didn’t want to leave! Miss Annie is more than qualified (with double Masters in early childhood education) but it’s her warmth and sincerity that really shines through. ❤️
