Briarwood Apartments is located on the southeast side of Lafayette and is a federally subsidized apartment community, with rent and eligibility determined by government regulations. Our community offers one and two bedroom apartments ( including those that are wheelchair accessible), and three bedroom townhomes.

We offer several community amenities, including limited access entry, a clubhouse, on-site maintenance teams and a playground. While this is a section 8 apartment housing that usually means there can be some unsavory characters taking advantage of the system here, however in my experience the office people have been nothing but kind and courteous to me and my family. Also under new maintenance management any problems are dealt with in timely and kind manner. For that reason I gave 4 stars based on the actual staff and building.

Briarwood??? Mmm... I would NEVER recommend anyone to apply to stay here. They have nasty attitudes and talk to you like your beneath them. I have 2 small children and I have a hole in my ceiling that has not been repaired, I made this report when I was pregnant and my second child is now 8 months!! And my ceiling still has not been repaired because they are so called "backed" up on ceiling repairs but they can break their necks to come to fix on something else and charge you for it. On one occasion they came to repaint my wall and left a bucket of paint in my house 2 year old son and my 8 month
