The place is affordable and thats about it. The neighbors are loud and disrespectful and the office will do nothing about other than telling you to call the cops (who don't show up or do anything either). The apartments are not that well built as I have had so many maintenance requests that I have lost track. My oven broke in my first week and the HVAC has broken down at least 7 times over the winter. I will say the maintenance staff is pretty good and responds quickly, but I have never had to make this many requests at an apartment before.

I lived here for 2+ years and wish I could live here for law school. Alas, I am moving to Bloomington, but am sad to see my apartment go. My rent is incredibly reasonable for a 2b, 2ba. The maintenance team responded to my requests in less than 5 hours every single time. My unit came with a faulty dryer, the company got me a new one with no questions asked. There is always free snacks/coffee in the clubhouse. Cute little gym. Good location for Purdue/Downtown/65. Really enjoyed it here. Plenty of grass for the dogs to walk, decent parking. I lived here for just under two months and was pretty satisfied with my experience. My only complaint at that point was how deeply it had to be cleaned as it seemed like only the carpets had been touched, but I guess that’s pretty standard. About 7 weeks after I moved in, I was robbed outside of my apartment in broad daylight. I found out later that the man who attacked me had been lurking around the complex for roughly an hour before I got home, just waiting for an easy target. There are security cameras in place here, however from my experience and what I could see when visiting the leasing

Was a wonderful place to work with when we moved in 4 years ago. New management is absolutely horrendous. We spent 3 days making our apartment pristine when we moved out a month ago. They kept our entire security deposit anyway, and are actually attempting to charge us an additional 70 odd dollars for bogus charges. It's annoying but I feel bad for anyone who doesn't have the time, resources or knowledge to fight them, luckily I have all 3, and am happy to pay the 70 bucks to avoid having to correct credit issues in the short term, knowing it will cost them far more in the long run.

I lived here for two years and for the first year it was great. Management was professional and prompt with issues. When it came under new management last year, the staff became money-hungry and dismissive. You will see if you look at more recent reviews lots of complaints about management. My garbage disposal was broken in my apartment for 6 months before they repaired it. Despite my request, they refused to tell me when they would be coming. Office would accept packages but not tell you that they had them. I would have preferred they just not accept them if they weren't going to inform us. My

River Walk is super affordable and spacious. It's a safe community with cool amenities outside of Covid times. The apartments are well-maintained and the communications from leasing/maintenance are professional and timely. However, you get what you pay for... Had some plumbing issues, and though the maintenance team was super nice and curious, they don't have the equipment to fully fix the root cause of the issue, only perform damage control over the effects.
In short, my garbage disposal and washing machine are somehow connected, and one blocked pipe led to a flood that will probably happen again

My family moved into River Walk in August 2019 and we have not regretted that decision one bit!
We've had our share of renting experiences in the Lafayette area over the past few years as we searched for an ideal place for our small family. Other places we've rented looked great on paper and on tour, but were not so great in reality. River Walk has fit our needs perfectly and we intend to stay here until we buy a house.
We love our two bedroom traditional layout; it's the perfect size for our toddler and he loves scooting on his toy train down the long hallway and opening all the doors, haha

I would have given half star if it was allowed .
Very very very unprofessional and hostile management Team. Abusive and inefficient at their job. Don't know how to talk appropriately and respectful to tenants. Don't even inform you when the is a mail delivered to their office for you and note that they sign for it. Only time they are friendly is when you first sign the lease and when they need to collect their rent. They are so hostile that when they keep events at the apartment no one attend just the management team family .
Call management about rats and roaches month after month and nothing
