Pros: Cool building, good maintenance, reasonable price, quiet, solid construction and foundation.
Cons: Office communication can be bad, 2-3 showings a week in your apartment during apartment hunting season, carpet (was not shown the exact unit and was told it had no carpet). Basically, take what the office staff say with a grain of salt, unless it's Cathy, she knows what she's doing.

IF I COULD GIVE THESE LANDLORDS ZERO STARS I WOULD!!!
They LIED to me and my fiance about the $200 deposit for the waiting list being refundable. They ACCUSED me of not signing a contact that I had never seen. They FALSIFIED the same contract and sent it to me saying I didn't sign it but still took my deposit without my signature on it. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! The management doesn't care about you if you don't give them money. I then talked to the manager and showed her all the evidence and she basically said too bad. I asked to speak to the CEO or owner and they took my phone number and said hopefully

Overall, I certainly enjoyed living at the Armory Apartments. I had no issues with the maintenance staff or management company, they were always very willing to work with me- which I greatly appreciated. Over the course of my stay at the Armory, I made several maintenance requests, and they were always quickly checked on (usually the next day) and they were always pretty fast to resolve the issues. I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment, which I liked and worked fine for me, however I always thought the two bedrooms were really "where it's at" at the Armory. The big windows and unique rooms are very

My time in the Armory Loft apartments has been fantastic! The management team is nothing but respectful, and maintenance is quick to respond. They send out neat little newsletters each month, put on special programs for everyone living here, and are just in general committed to the happiness of residents. The whole complex is extremely secure and well kept up! The one bedroom apartment is full of charm with huge windows and wooden floors.

Stay away from this property. Stay away from the management company, Hunter Lafayette Properties.
The property may seem good at the surface level, but dig a little deeper and it can be a real nightmare to stay there. Moving in and out of the place is a real chore. No elevators to the second floor and there really is no where to park a moving van without being in the middle of a funeral.

I loved living at the Armory! I lived there for 18 months while I finished my master's degree at Purdue and was more than pleased with my experience. Management and maintenance were fantastic - countless stories about how they went above and beyond my expectations. They were always available and friendly when I needed them. The building is secured and has video cameras and underground parking available. It's relatively quiet, but sometimes I could hear the people living above me. The only negative was the exercise facility - it's pretty bare on-site and there's no pool, but Hunter Lafayette properties
