I called ahead of my trip with a positive COVID test and bad symptoms and they would not allow me to rebook or offer a refund. Given they are 100% sold out with high demand this speaks to their character. Very upsetting. Would avoid this place.

Nice motel with good sized rooms. They have beautiful grounds at the back where people can take it their dogs. There is s bowling alley just next to front desk which is good place to spend the evening. Staff was friendly and courteous. Many restaurants nearby and the main street is only like 10 drive away. They have free to go breakfast because of COVID-19 but there is a small room behind front desk where you can sit and eat.

Very nice property. Driveway had large pot holes but they closed after our stay and were fixing. The main lobby gets gated off at night and we were not able to use the luggage racks when checking out early in the morning. You could smell the lobby fireplace in our room upstairs. Question the ventilation during covid. Rooms are not soundproof. We could hear our neighbors coming and going. Could hear the bowling alley which sounds like thunder. Luckily they are not open late. Had to knock on door next to us as their kid was bouncing a golf ball against the wall and floor late at night and early the

The room was perfect size and walked right out to a small deck and backyard which was nice. We brought our dog which she was able to walk around and the staff was very friendly to her. The e check in was perfect so I didn’t have to worry about going inside the lobby with my dog. When we ran out of towels or anything, the staff was great to get us what we needed quickly. Overall, great experience and room was clean.

Front desk people were very nice. Even though we were in the penalty window for any changes we make, they didn’t charge us anything for postponing our trip. They accommodated us in a better room for the same price.
There’s a canal in the back..mini golf, bowling.. Lots of restaurants around the hotel but almost all of them close around 9PM , It was a relaxing experience.
Though the king size suite was much better then the superior rooms on first floor.

This establishment was absolutely wonderful. My roommates and I felt completely safe considering the current situation with Covid. They adhered to all guidelines and it made for a very comforting stay . The room was great, and the grab and go breakfasts were perfect. I was able to have my fur baby with me and he absolutely loved the sliding back door access to run and play in the snow. The hot tub was open, which was nice, and they were able to create a booking system so there was only one household allowed in the hot tub at a time. We were able to have a great end of the ski day experience with

Awesome accommodations and a bowling alley attached! Girlfriend and I have been to Stowe every year for the past 5 years and this is probably our favorite hotel. The fact that they have a bar and bowling alley really separate it from the rest. It's also very conveniently located from our favorite restaurant Picasso. Super friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very clean and this is the first place we've stayed that offers a hot breakfast with your stay. 10/10 would recommend!

My wife and I have stayed at the Sun and Ski for three years running and always have a great time. With so many activities at the hotel, it is very fun. The location is excellent being very near the bike trail and more excellent restaurants than can be enjoyed in just a week. The staff is all very friendly. Days are started off right with complimentary breakfast.

Just spent a lovely night in Stowe and fell in love with Sun and Ski Inn as soon as we stepped in the lobby and were greeted so warmly at the front desk. We were even shown two different rooms to choose from. We went for the one with a full bathtub and a view of the grounds that bordered on a steam complete with rapids.

The inn is well appointed and in addition to the usual amenities, there is a very cool bowling alley and lounge with a full casual menu! If bowling is not your thing, how about miniature golf? Pool and hot tub and cosy living area to meet up with friends. Hot and cold breakfast

Great location. Clean and new/ updated rooms. The bowling alley is a plus and a hit with the kids. Pool and hot tub are small but adequate. Staff is nice. If you are headed to Stowe stay here and be close to skiing and good food ( walk to piecasso!) Unless your taking the last room then don't stay here and leave the vacancy for us.

We stayed at the condos, which is located on cottage drive road, a short 2-3 minute drive from the main building. I stayed in the D building with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with total of 5 people. It has a nice updated kitchen with oven, dishwasher, large fridge, all utensils needed for cooking and eating. It was super convenient. Bath towels and very small bottles of shampoo and soap were also in the bathrooms but if you're planning on staying with alot of people, I'd suggest you bring a bigger bottle yourself, or probably ask front desk for a lot more. They took us in and provided us breakfast when our original hotel 1/2 up the road failed us.
We have stayed here in the past and was good.
They have added a bar / restaurant and a small bowling alley which made our stay very enjoyable.
Every employee that we came in contact with was pleasant and accommodating.

Just ok is how I'd describe my experience here.

We were told we were upgraded for free which bothered me right off the bat because I booked a specific room for a reason. Traveling with a smaller child, I didn't want to be above the bowling alley from what I read in all the reviews. And low sure enough, it was loud. Their bowling alley must be the only "attraction" around here because it sure is packed and jamming all night. They ran out of bottles of water on a Friday. The free breakfast is mediocre, we only ate there once and opted for better options the other mornings. We

It is with sadness that I have to give this place only 2 stars. Let me explain, on second thought let me sum up.

The Good:
- Property is in a great location easy access to town, recreation path, and the river runs right behind it
- You can walk to the alchemist
- Rooms are modern and clean, good size, good WiFi
- The bowling alley connected modern and fun
- Bowling alley bartenders are super friendly and fun to talk with. Good craft beer selection
- Dog friendly with low pet fee of $15

THE BAD:
- I know this is maybe just one thing but it overall almost ruined our stay and is the cause of

My boyfriend and I have made Vermont our annual trip. We stayed here last year and fell in love with this hotel and all it has to offer that we decided to stay here again. It's clean, the staff of friendly, good food, bowling and minni golf are always fun. Great location. We will be back here for years to come.

Pretty good place. It's basically a motor inn style but upgraded and modernized in a very comfortable and tasteful style. Between the two wings of motel type rooms is a central building with larger suite type rooms (we stayed in one of these-very comfortable even for a family with two teenagers that argue a lot). Getting an extra rollaway bed helped. What really sets this place apart is the other feature of the central building, a 6-8 lane bowling alley with bar. Pretty pricey for a family of four to bowl, but just about everything at Stowe is pricey. Location is great too, about halfway between

I made a reservation through Hotels.com to stay at this property on 1/5/18 through 1/7/18 for a ski trip weekend. However due to adverse weather conditions I reached out to Hotels.com in hopes of cancelling our reservation without penalty due to an actual Blizzard this weekend (Our Governor declared a state of emergency). Per the weather reports Stowe is also expecting to have temperatures in the -15 to -20 degrees which would severely endanger us to make the trip up there from New York City. I was told by Hotels.com that Sun and Ski was refusing to waive the cancellation... this is when we have

I think this hotel is nice enough. The room was update however our beds were very uncomfortable. The breakfast was less than ok so we skipped it the second day. The bowling area was really nice and we enjoyed hanging out in the lounge area. I would probably stay somewhere else the next time I visit but I wouldn't completely rule it out. Loved Stowe and can't wait to visit again next year!

Dog friendly, river out back, small patio off room, large yard for sunning, reasonable prices and a bowling alley!!?

Yes, this place was a hit. We will def stay here again.

Fun to bowl at least one string. The pins are held up by weird strings that don't always work but they have adult bevs available which is convenient.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Maine so that hubby could hit up two legendary breweries--The Alchemist (a short drive) and Hill Farmstead (40 minutes away or so).
As we were traveling with our 3 Pekingese, we were assigned a room in the separate motel section to the right of the lobby where you check in. We were assigned a loft room that could comfortably sleep 4 (1 to a Queen Bed) or 8 if you doubled up. I didn't check, but I would bet the full size sofa probably folded out to a sleeper. Nice spacious room so you weren't bumpint in to one another. Mini refrigerator but no

Very pleasant surprise. It's basically a motor inn where you pull up to your room (although there are a few rooms above the main building). The rooms are very large and recently renovated - door out to the front by your can and a rear patio overlooking a huge green expanse with a small brook/river as well!

Rooms were clean and fairly basic. The breakfast is very reasonable in the morning with both hot and cold items along with a small selection of fruits.

There are restaurants within walking distance or a short drive and Stowe Mountain Resort is just up the road. Would highly recommend

We booked the Riverside Loft Suite with 4 beds. 2 doubles upstairs in the loft area, 2 queens downstairs & a sofa bed which we didn't use. Spacious, clean, great location, river view & access. Great value for a large family (we had 6 kids!). We didn't mind not having privacy - loft style space, no closed bedrooms. If we had stayed longer we would have opted for some closed bedrooms which they do offer.
Their continental breakfast was generous.
Overall we were all very impressed. Would definitely recommend & return again.
