Services
Slide Brook Lodge was built in the 1960's and originally called Sergeant Pepper's. Along with the Blue Tooth and other night spots, it was the perfect finish to a day of skiing. It has had several owners since it started, but its 1960's feeling has continued until today. It has taken two years of renovation, and now with a new restaurant, new beds, new roof, front deck and several flat screen TVS, Slide Brook Lodge is ready to roll again.
The natural beauty and mountain environment provide a striking setting and a true escape from the everyday. Our home - the Mad River Valley - provides a reason in and of itself to visit Sugarbush. Mad River Glen Ski Area is located in Waitsfield, Vermont, with 45 ski trails, served by 5 lifts. Mad River Glen is America's only cooperatively owned major ski area and its slopes are free of snowboarding.

Nothing but good things to say about this place and the owner. Its close to Sugarbush with available shuttle service, has a great bar with great food and decent prices. Best of all it has a friendly party atmospere but is not really a place for families with kids unless you book the apartment upstairs. There was a good live band playing at the bar the weekend of our stay. We'll definitely book at Slidebrook for our next riding trip to Sugarbuh.

Not quite sure what Rich L expects when on vacation, (can't have Philly expectations when in VT) people are people give em a chance. That said, we also ate across the street and found there was no better place for after dinner drinks. Alex went far beyond helping us enjoy our vacation. He was very informative of the (places of interest) that was a must see. Thanks to him, our next couple of days was a blast! We stopped in for dinner the next night and again have all good things to say about service and the food. He did mention his lodge and gave us a tour and are considering his accommodations

Five of us recently stayed at the Slide Brook Lodge and had a great time. We rented the 5 bed private apt upstairs (the efficiency) for about $200 with tax. At $40/person/night, this was an unbeatable deal. The private apt can house five or even six (if two people share a full bed).
The apartment was perfect for us. The beds were really comfortable, and the kitchen was great for breakfast in the morning before hitting the slopes, and the washer/dryer helped to dry wet gloves. There was a large flatscreen tv and comfortable living room (shared with the other hotel guests, but we never saw
