Nestled high on a hill overlooking 38-acres of natural breathtaking Vermont scenery; Edson Hill is conveniently located just a short drive from the village of Stowe and skiing at Stowe Mountain Resort. Guests experience the serenity of a secluded retreat where you can feel a million miles away - along with easy access to endless local attractions.
Edson Hill's historic trail network was created by the Heath Family in the 1950s. Maintained by an old "Trucker" snowcat with skis on the front, Larry Heath remembers skijoring with guests way back then.
Edson Hill's current team has been working hard to bring the trails and our entire nordic offering back to its glory while providing our guests and all of Stowe with another great ski area for groomed cross country skiing, side- and back-country access as well as snowshoeing.The Nordic Center barn is open for tickets, rentals, retail sales, and while booting up this season.

Edson Hill boasts twenty-two exquisitely appointed guest rooms, each combining antique and contemporary features. You'll enjoy the best of both worlds as you relax in elegant comfort, with all of the modern conveniences.
To confirm your reservation, we require a deposit equal to 50% of the total stay after taxes are applied. One night stay and package reservations are charged 100% of deposit. Minimum stay requirements may apply during weekends and peak/holiday seasons but are not applicable to stays outside of these time periods.
Package includes accommodations of your choice with a daily, gourmet ala carte breakfast included; Your choice of a private 60-minute lesson for two with one of our professional instructors, and ski rentals for the day or 60-minute guided snowshoe tour and snowshoe rentals for the day. Take home a pair of logo'd ski beanies included with your stay!

This weekend, Edson Hill helped my boyfriend coordinate the most thoughtful and personalized engagement down by the Nordic barn. This place has been special to us for a while now (we’ve been coming 1-2x/year since 2018), and it’s all because of the courteous staff, beautiful well-maintained property, and incredibly private and cozy accommodations.
But this weekend truly set it over the top! They recommended a local engagement photographer to Ry, set up an entire private firewith s’mores, and even got the horses in place for our post-engagement shoot. After it all went down, they

Top notch experience all around. I had heard amazing things about this place and it did not disappoint.
The rooms is unbelievably cozy and they really thought of everything. The bed might be the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever experienced, the heated floors in the bathroom was an unexpected touch of luxury, and the wood burning fireplace was fantastic.
We dined at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, as well as enjoyed drinks from the tavern. It's difficult to find bad food in Stowe, but the restaurant at Edson Hill was the best food we had during our stay. Make sure you make a reservation

My husband and I just returned from our second trip to Edson Hill- our first was actually to elope there shortly after the hotel opened about 5 years ago and I’m so sad to say it will be our last visit.
During our first visit we stayed in the manor house- our room was well appointed and had a large bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed this room but had VERY noisy guests above us (frat boys who partied until 3am) and decided that if we returned, we’d opt for the guest house. During this recent visit, we booked the more expensive guest house option and were so disappointed with the accommodations

OUTSTANDING restaurant. The restaurant was beautiful! The bartenders and waiters were all very professional and kind. The chef Jason did a fabulous job with every course I had. I kept craving more the food was that mouth watering. Everyone there is so kind, professional and the food is amazing. Haven’t stayed over night at their location yet but looking forward to in the near future. This place is a MUST TRY!!!!!

Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful rooms, gorgeous property and warm, welcoming hospitality. The dinner in the tavern on the last night of our stay was the highlight of the trip - the food (and wine, recommended by Peter) was out of this world! Thank you for providing such a high quality and memorable experience, especially during times like these. We can't wait to return!

Can’t wait to visit again! My husband and I celebrated our minimoon here and it was just what we were hoping for; a romantic getaway in Stowe (but it really feels like Europe, especially in the late fall). From the large soaking tub to the cozy fireplace, it was an incredible stay. We also had a great time with their incredible breakfast staff! They are so kind and helpful, especially Brittany! PS. The breakfast is off the charts!
