She is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, fertility, and protectress of sailors. She is said to of been born from the sea-foam and floated ashore on a giant shell, thus Aphrodite is represented by the oyster shell. Aphrodite Oysters specializes in shucking the freshest oysters while mingling at your private parties, weddings, corporate events, and even boat cruises.
The mission is simple: serve exquisite, fresh seafood and an oyster shucking experience you will not forget. We cater for a SXSW Showcase at Ballet Austin serving a variety of dips, including lemon butternut squash hummus, black bean, breads, fruit displays, and more; carefully selecting Passover kosher certified products and mindful preparations.
Focused service at its finest allows Aphrodite Oysters to perfect seafood raw bars at any celebration. We often service the cocktail hour prior to dinner or we service all of the food for smaller weddings. If we are not providing all of your catering needs, we will happily work in conjunction with your full service caterer of choice for your wedding reception meal or we are one of a few specialized food truck caterers servicing your big day.

I absolutely recommend Aphrodite Oysters. Kristen and her team are phenomenal. Their onsite setup is beautiful and elevates any event. We found Aphrodite at a luxury happy hour and booked them for a champagne bridal shower. It was the perfect pairing. The food is fantastic and super chic setup. Highly recommend.

Kristen was so sweet to accommodate us for my birthday with short notice. She prepared a tray of oysters that were so amazing and delicious. KJ was absolutely wonderful! Extremely responsive even with a last minute change. She came and shucked the oysters right in the driveway and made it a really fun experience for a birthday during quarantine! The oysters were from the Northeast which happened to be our favorite! Great quality and price. I would highly recommend Aphrodite Oysters!!!

The birthday seafood extravaganza was absolutely wonderful! Everything was so fresh & delicious - 😋 we had the leftover ceviche and shrimp the next day for lunch and raved about how tasty it was again. We wished they bottled and sold the cocktail sauce, because it’s the best we have ever had! We have raved about the food & excellent service to lots of friends and family. Thank you for a very special and memorable birthday dinner (and lunch)!

This is such a great company to work with. We were able to get the most amazing oysters and shrimp cocktail for my father's bday. They shucked the oysters on site for optimism freshness and delivered them to our door. Their service is top notch and so is their food. Never had any issues with them and we would recommend them over and over. Run don't walk to check them out!!

Kristen brought 4 dozen coldwaters for our friend's birthday party! She was very communicative and did really well to stay distant and serve the oysters up in disposable trays. I told her we'd take pictures but everyone was so excited we devoured the oysters without thinking! Oops. Great great experience overall!
