I enjoyed my stay here. I really appreciate it all the help with maintenance requests and general questions about the lease. I really enjoyed the gym and the pool all summer as well as the yoga room in the winter. I made a few good friends while I was living here as well. I'll definitely miss this place.

Looks nice from outside but management is terrible and utilities are faulty. The AC was broken when I moved in July and an ugly metal tube was run out the window as a temporary fix. I had to call for the AC to be fixed 2 additional times throughout the summer. The floors/ceilings are not at all sound proof and I can hear every footstep from the tenant above me. Every time someone burns something in their apartment and opens their front door, the entire building’s fire alarms go off and everyone must evacuate. Most recently, our fobs to the back entry back to the building do not work and haven’t

The George is credited as a deluxe apartment complex but can only be described as a disgusting and distasteful institution. I have never felt so disrespected and disregarded as a client of a so called "luxury apartment." Not only are there various problems throughout this complex, there never seems to be consistent management that deals with the problems. I'm having a difficult time contacting someone about the trash being piled up to the ceiling because management seems to be firing people left and right so much so that I don't even know if there is maintenance here. My most recent complaint is

Positive: Professionalism, Responsiveness
The staff at The George is professional, kind and responsive. They were very understanding and patient with me and have built a wonderful sense of community at the complex. In particular, it was great to work with Colleen and her colleagues! I highly recommend them to anyone interested in an apartment in Ann Arbor.

This is the worst apartment complex I have ever come across. Most of these units are uninhabitable. If you live anywhere near the gym you can look forward to being awake all the time. We were horrified by the trash and all the loud fire alarms going off because they don't work properly. We tried to move to another unit but the manager asked us ‘iF wE cAn EvEn aFfOrd A 3 bedroom." I have lived in many apartments till now working in healthcare — this has been the worst. I would advise against living anywhere managed by the Hayman company unless you like broken appliances.

Horrible management. Moved here last year. Recent change management has been atrocious.
Trash rooms have been down for more than a month. There is trash around the building.
Air condition doesn’t work. Maintenance hates dealing with management, there is change in maintenance almost every 2-3 months.
Apartments are built nice and fellow residents are kind but that’s about it.
Management really needs to step up if they want to charge luxury apartment rent, they need to keep maintained as such.

I don’t recommend living here at all. First of all, this place has received numerous negative reviews but they have had them all removed and have 0 reviews right now after being open for years on apartments.com and yelp(think about it). The trash chute was broken for a month and they did nothing so trash would just build up and the place would smell really bad and you are still paying your garbage removal fee. They threatened tenants with a additional $250 fee for trash. The walls are really thin so you can hear people sneeze, let alone all the other loud things that go on. I've had maintenance

Terrible insulation = High electric bills. I used to work here, I also worked on the building before it was open. The fire alarms often go off, throughout the entire building even after hours, wouldn't recommend for new parents and animal parents. The parking garage floods in the winter due to horrible building design. All of the main water pipes are in the parking garage so they freeze constantly. The doors handles are made for simple hotels. That means they reset often, very often, so the residents get locked out and have to wait for someone to let them into their apartments that are ridiculously

NEVER LIVE at The George apartments. The management is very UNPROFESSIONAL and does not care about its RESIDENTS. My car was damaged by The George maintenance management. I filed for the claim earlier and then 7-8 months later (since I was not using my car ) and asked them to reimburse me for the damages. But upon my visit to their office they laughed off at me, because I asked how long will it take. I am wondering why they laughed, was it because I wasn't wearing fancy clothes or I did not have a fancy car? I have not been reimbursed my money. The insurance says the management is responsible,

I lived at the George for a couple months this year and in general really liked the building. The amenities were good, the doors were always locked so it was very safe and we loved our apartment. I’m leaving this review not to complain about the building, but about the office and the people who work there. The ladies who worked at the office were constantly rude to my roommates and I and never seemed to care when we had an issue. When I had a package stolen and asked for the security cameras to be checked, one lady told me she was out of office and the other simply said this was disappointing
