Dr. Hammock graduated from the University Of Tennessee, College Of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. After completing an internship in Large Animal Surgery at Cornell, he joined a racetrack/referral surgery practice in Birmingham, Alabama.
With a strong desire to pursue his interests in surgery and lameness, he completed an Equine Surgical Residency at the University of Illinois, becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2000.

Equine Performance Center, a world-class equine sports therapy facility dedicated to the rehabilitation, recovery and conditioning of equine athletes from all breeds and all disciplines, has spared no expense when it comes to the comfort and care of our special clients. Our facility has stall capacity for 42 horses.
Goldie came in from the pasture one afternoon with excessive swelling on her abdomen. Thinking that she had laid on a bed of ants, I hosed her down gave her some Banamine and put her in the stall for the night. The next day it was worse and looked like several bites on her abdomen. My vet suggested I send her to the Equine Performance Center for hydrotherapy.
