Broken system, appointments, promises. I started seeing Dr. Sokol several years ago, and have the utmost respect for her skill and professionalism. When she started adding new doctors to her staff, I made it clear that I wanted to continue seeing her. Apparently not clear enough.
When I came for my appointment in 2018, I was scheduled with another doctor. I asked why I wasn't given a heads up or a choice. "Oh... sorry, it won't happen again." I went ahead with the appointment with the other doctor, who was every bit the professional. Just not the one I wanted to see.

Great experience!! Dr Sokol is super nice and helpful. I wanted a stronger strength in prescription glasses, and she was very thorough in making sure I could see properly. She answered my questions and concerns about blindness in the future. I definitely recommend this place and would be coming here again.

No waiting in the waiting room, I was taken back right away to begin the appointment. Dr. Sokol then really took her time with me, answered all my questions, double checked everything. I came away with a better prescription. She also saw my 8yo the week before and was terrific with doing an exam with him. Highly, highly recommend.

I can’t say enough for this place! They are friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and open to help anyhow the client. The staff worked around us for the appointment and I had to take my kids there which was a hard task as it is! They made my experience smooth and I was not a “nerve ball” ( because of my kids) on my way out! They answered my question and even more they gave me information that usually I would not even ask! I really liked Dr. Sokol! She was very personable, professional, and thorough. She took time to understand my eye care needs. The staff did their best to accommodate me because I have a spinal cord injury and am in a wheelchair. However, some of the testing equipment was not accessible to me because it was on a pedestal table and we could not get me close enough to make it work, so I couldn't get the imaging into my eyes performed. It is unacceptable these days not to have the equipment on a table a wheelchair can maneuver around.

My husband, our 3 kids, and I have been coming to Dr. Sokol for years and I wouldn't change a thing! She is an amazing doctor and has the best staff you could ask for. We all look forward to our appointments, but I especially do because it feels like seeing an old friend that only has your best interests in mind🙂

Dr Tessa Sokol is what I would call an "Optical Artist". She did my vision check and compared it to a previous script from another Optician which I couldn't tolerate well, and tweaked my new script- it made ALL the difference! She is personable, knowledgeable and professional. I drove 1 1/2 hours to go to her, because I trust and appreciate how she speaks with me and explains things. The staff has always been very good for me as well. We need more like Tessa- she is the artist who takes the machine views and personalizes them.

I scheduled an appointment for an eye exam because I was due for another one. On the day of my appointment I called to make sure they had my correct insurance, because I've had problems with them in the past. The rude lady told me yes that she just needed to look up my insurance information again and that I was all good. When I got there the first thing she told me was that my insurance was out of network and that they could offer me $10 dollars of my eye exam. I for sure won't be coming back here service is horrible and they people working at Behind the desk need to make sure they know

I would highly recommend Dr. Tessa Sokol, or anyone in her office for that matter. My entire family has been going to her for years and she has never been anything but professional... plus she makes the appointments actually enjoyable because she is so nice to talk to. We always end up chatting and catching up since there are usually 6 months between appointments :) All five in my family have contacts and/or glasses and I trust her completely in that department. I won't go anywhere else.

By far THE WORST customer service I've had anywhere. We made an appointment here for our 6 year old son. We arrived for our appointment the guy working the counter was very friendly. We were just waiting to get checked in but he kept getting more calls and customers st the counter. There was also a female who would come to the counter but then just walk away. One would assume she was busy. Nope she was just sitting at table with other employees chit chatting. After 20 minutes of this we ended up just leaving the guy at the counter seemed to understand our frustration with the situation. Terrible

I wandered into the Lens Crafters at West Towne Mall in hopes to discuss getting new glasses. I found a frame that I really loved, but told the Lens Crafters employee that I should probably get an updated eye exam. They directed me to Sokol to make an appointment.
The minute I walked over to Sokol, they hurried around so that they could get me in and get my eye exam completed that same day. Within an hour of casually walking into Lens Crafters, and being redirected to Sokol, my eye exam was complete.

I made my appt the day of and it was very easy to make my appt as a new patient. I didn't wait at all for my appointment and the staff was very nice and the office was clean. I saw Dr. Sokol during my visit. She was extremely nice and spent the time discussing dailys vs 2 week contacts and the positive/neg of the different contacts. She was very thorough in figuring out my prescription and made sure I left seeing crystal clear! She let me sample multiple contacts and solutions to find the right fit for my eyes. I would definitely recommend Sokol eye care and Dr. Sokol!

I visited Dr. Tessa Sokol for my own vision care, as well as for my 7-year old son's. Tessa offered outstanding care, and took the time to do an in-depth exam of my son's eyes (he wears glasses) and explained to me exactly what was going on. She recommended vision therapy and explained to me the benefits he would receive from a therapy plan. For me, she was able to match me with a correct contact lens for a mild astigmatism, which took several attempts to find something comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend Tessa to anyone looking for a great optometrist.
