Experience the newest technology during your eye exam! Choose to get the Optomap Retinal Exam. The Optomap takes a digital image of the back of your eye (the retina). This is a superior alternative to dilation drops and captures more than 80% of the retina in one panoramic image. Dr. Nelson can perform a more thorough exam to detect the earliest sign of disease that appears on your retina.

Dr. Nelson volunteers in the national "InfantSee" program to provide no-cost exams for all infants age 6 - 12 months of age. Even if no eye or vision problems are apparent, the American Optometric Association recommends scheduling your baby's first eye assessment at 6 months. Eye problems are easier to correct if treatment begins early.

Everything went smoothly at my second appointment with David Nelson. I like his use of the Optomap device to scan my retinas with out dilating my eyes. David was able to compare these images with my previous appointment from 6 years ago. This makes for a very comprehensive eye exam. David has also helped my wife by removing an eyelash which was stuck on her eye. She really appreciated his steady hands during this procedure. Thanks you David and the entire staff!
