Diana has kept the charm of the Beach Shack alive for over 30 years and quite frankly the Beach Shack wouldn't be what is today without her. She is the inspiration for the mantra "Good Vibes, Great Hair". Friendly, relaxed, and low key. Diana loves doing root touch-ups, Brazilian Blowouts, and Highlights.

I have been so pleased with everything about The Beach Shack! Anya is my stylist and she always knows what I need and how to achieve it without breaking my budget. I absolutely love my hair color and cut every time. The location itself is beautiful, beach-chic, and in the heart of downtown Carlsbad. Everyone here is friendly and if you're on the fence, I highly recommend scheduling a consult with Anya. She can do anything and with a smile and a hug if you need one!

I am SO happy! I've had such a good experience with beach shack hair and Emily especially! I first came in for a trim and to feel the place out... there are obviously a lot of hair options around - some are great and some are not - but I immediately felt comfortable with Emily so I pulled the trigger and scheduled again for highlights and I will just say they look incredible! Everyone is so nice, the environment is laid back, and I'm so happy and grateful for such a great job on my hair!

Got my hair done by David Morse. I asked for a balayage with a dark brown shadow root and have it fade out into a light ashy brown. He did an amazing job and I was very pleased with the results. My hair used to be super dry and orange from trying to bleach it myself with cap highlights. I even used some toner to help lessen the brassy and orange tones, but it was still very orange. After I came out of the salon, it was super soft and natural looking compared to before. I'd recommend coming here and booking yourself an appointment with David, he knows what he's doing. Everyone brags about their hairstylist, but I truly can say that bragging wouldn't define how amazing Anya is! From the moment you walk into the door, you feel warmth and gratitude. My hair is fine and wavy-certainly not easy to work with but Emily gave me an awesome cut and style-the best I've had in many years (since my last stylist moved out of California). I have been seeing Anya for over a year now and she is AMAZING. She takes the time to learn not only about your hair needs, but also you as a person. She remembers conversations from your last visit and asks how things are going, which shows she truly cares about you. She has taken my brunette hair on a blonde journey and I couldn’t be more grateful of her. Whenever I want to change things up a little bit with my color she isn’t scared of a challenge! I'm new to the area and was looking for a new salon. After going to another place in the village and not being satisfied I decided to give Beach Shack Salon a try. Denae did an excellent job. David did an amazing job on my son, Zachary’s hair. We were on vacation and he was looking for a partial color in dark blue. David talked it over with him before he started to make sure he understood what Zachary was looking for and it turned out amazing! David is a highly skilled colorist with an amazingly cool vibe about him. Definitely made my sons summer vacation one for the memory books! Wow, what an incredible Hair Stylist and what an incredible person... I have nothing but great things to say about Anya - from start to finish it was a bespoke experience. I left with vibrantly blonde hair, with a number of high and low lights, and l felt well taken care of.
I think the thing that stands out to me most is her graciousness as a professional dealing with someone who has regular stylist that was unavailable.

Went into the cutest salon today for a cut & blow dry. The vibe so calm & the decor with the plants & flowers it just so beautiful. My stylist was Denae & she did amazing job. My hair isn't the easiest cause it so thick but now I feel so light & it looks healthy. I totally recommend going in the girls are so friendly & nice!

I will be the first to say, although I am a "cool" client, I am not an easy client. Or, my hair isn't. Anya really listened to what I was looking for. She was attentive as we spoke and honest about the steps it would take to get to what I wanted. Anya is a master colorist, and blond specialist. She is ALSO extremely skilled at cutting. Anya is a GODSEND! I started to come to her After my first round of blonding from another stylist and was unhappy. have been going to her for a year now ever since I have been going to her for a year now ever since and I'm not turning back! She's so knowledgeable with my Balayage process and my icy icy blond that my hair always walks away feeling great! I go to Anya at this fresh, clean , bright adorable little hair salon. I am so happy she found herself there, it's a great location with an amazing new face lift! But, Anya could be successful ANYWHERE. She does an awesome job on my hair cut and color,, but recently she did extensions for me. They are gorgeous and she did a great job installing them. I have been seeing Stefania "Anya" and is such a talent with my hair. Very few stylists understand thick curly hair the way she does. She does beautiful work with my curls and it allows me to wear them genuinely with so much pride. Also a blond, she knows just how to lighten my golden hair to give it a natural cooler and brighter look that I want. Not only is she skilled but she's also such a sweetheart. I love our conversations and know that she truly cares for me and my experience every time I see her.
