Our "Friendly Neighborhood" is a pretty cool place so we cooked up our top self-guided tours when staying with us. Explore local food and drink, fascinating history, world-class art and peaceful parks. Below you'll find lots of things to do. But if you had told me that I would fall in love with Greensboro a town located smack in the middle of the state away from both the mountains and coast, I probably would have never believed you.
The Proximity Hotel is located in central Greensboro, near the intersection of Wendover Avenue and Benjamin Parkway. We are a few blocks from our sister hotel & restaurant, the O.Henry Hotel and Green Valley Grill.

We loved it! We came here for my birthday and to see Eric church. The hotel has a great feel and the rooms are spacious and modern. I loved the industrial romantic look of the hotel. We got a food credit with her room and enjoyed dinner and drinks at print bistro which I would also recommend. I would come back!

We stayed at Proximity for 5 nights and had a wonderful stay. Hotel was clean, beautifully maintained and staff was amazing! Maria at the front desk went above and beyond to help us with dinner reservations and recommendations. We ate breakfast at the bistro several mornings and enjoyed the yummy options. We will return in the near future!

Simply beautiful hotel with excellent craftsmanship. We will return to this hotel. As a high end custom home builder in south FL I can say this was a work of art project. Reminds me of an old posh NY loft. Bed was comfortable, room clean, great staff, complimentary filtered hot and cold water, coffee was above average for in room hotel coffee (not Starbucks, but for what you are used to getting), great decor, I could go on. This hotel should have a long life and make a killing if this quality and service remain.

Not only is the hotel beautifully appointed, the hotel staff and team are exceptionally gracious. At the last minute, Tiffany, the Hotel Manager, personally made last minute arrangements to accommodate me and my friends - from reconfiguring hotel room assignments to meeting a personal request that allowed my guests to access their rooms based on our differing and individual travel schedules. Every detail was attended to and every request honored. Thank you, Tiffany and Allie, for your wonderful service and making our bucket list trip to see James Taylor in concert better than we imagined!

The staff at The Proximity Hotel far exceeded my expectations. Every time I walked into the lobby I was pleasantly greeted by a friendly employee. I could see the smile on each of their faces even though they were wearing masks. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was absolutely amazing. I have stayed in hotel across the country and have never had such an amazing experience as The Proximity.

I was fortunate to spend a weekend night at the property. My wife and I had a great experience, the room was clean and very comfortable. the property was quiet and relaxing. The decor was visually appealing, and the bed slept well. We enjoyed dinner at the resturant, Print Works, which also was a treat. Staff was very attentive.

Every time we walked through the front door we were greeted. The rooms are spotless, gorgeous, and comfortable. A very safe area too! I can't say enough about it. Don't hesitate!

GREAT space! The rooms are large and well appointed. Cleanliness and sustainability permeate the facility. We had a sales meeting in one of the suites and the staff could not have been nicer or more efficient. The Bistro's food and drink were exceptional. The avocado toast was the best I have had. Can't wait until the next time I can find a reason to stay there!

I was coming to Greensboro, with very low expectations based on comments by friends and family. Boy were those dopes wrong. We had a fantastic Visit.
Starting with the Proximity Hotel. The Lobby welcomes you along with the attentive staff. A Large open and Funky cool space let's you know this ain't your typical Hotel!
Our Corner room was bright with tall ceilings and over sized windows. The Corner rooms have windows in the bathroom for wonderful natural light as you get ready for the day. My wife loved them. Unfortunately our room faced the highway but the building is built so well and

After visiting this hotel restaurant two month's we were very eager to give this hotel a try. As, we arrive the front desk lady explained to us the deal we book online how it works. This was very helpful as we planned our credits for a two night stay.
Proximity has a industrial look and feeling with a fairytale vibe. Supe cool right! Everything you need right at your fingertips from a cozy stay to all your meals. We barely spend money during stay due to the amazing deal they are offering right now. We ate at the restaurant a few times and room service. The food was very delicious and they

Rooms service took twice as long as quoted (after me calling twice to check in). No apology. The woman working on the phone said my meal would be comped and it wasn't. I had also asked them to deliver a steamer to my room at 8 am on Saturday. 8:45 came and went and no steamer to be seen. When I called, once again no acknowledgement that they forgot/didn't read my reservation. Not at all worth the money! Go somewhere else!!!

The 2 best adjectives you can use here are quiet and comfortable. It's a no frills escape for a more mature couple, or a nice venue to conduct a business conference. This is not a kid's hotel, which I like because it helps keep things quiet. Activities such as dinner and jazz are more directed towards an older, upper middle class couple like my parents. Younger couples may find it a bit boring. I've dined many times at the Bistro, which is a ok. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. All in all, it's a very nice setting, and a great part of Greensboro. If you just

Proximity Hotel is possibly one of the best hotels I have been in. Came here for a company trip for 3 days and it was phenomenal. Check in was easy and the Celisha was so sweet. Got into my room and I was absolutely in love. I was on the 7th floor and it was so spacious and clean and comforting, one of the best nights of sleep I've gotten in a while with the comfortable bed. Only thing I wasnt crazy about was that it only had a stand up shower.
However, on the day I was set to leave, I checked out but later on, my flight was canceled so I booked one more night and this new room had a

I love this place for dinner on the open patio. I think it has one of the nicest patios in Greensboro. The food is also amazing. Brunch I love the EggsBenedict, it's made to perfection. They also can make it gluten free and it's very good!! Lunch: I love the warm quinoa salmon salad, or strawberry bib. All locally source fresh ingredients!! Dinner the filet, with Brussels is my favorite. ( the truffle fries are a staple if drinking!!) they have some great wine on their wine list!! On Wednesday's they have half off wine and mussels.

I really loved staying here. It reminded me a lot about the Ace Hotel in Manhattan (not that they actually have anything in common other than the general vibe of the halls as you walk through the place). Check in and out is easy and the rooms are quiet. The attached restaurant of the odd name Print Works Bistro is quite excellent as well. The only downside that you just had to take with the LEED certification was the water pressure -- as in there is not much pressure to be found in order to conserve water.
Though I never used them I saw these neat cabs there and from the web site they seem to

This is a beautiful Hotel! However, I only went to a Wine Tasting Dinner here which was catered by Print Works Bistro. The Room we used was beautifully decorated and everything was clean and welcoming. I do think the Ceviche had too many raw red onions in it, which is risky in pleasing a large crowd. The Lamb Shank was delicious but a bit on the salty side. Otherwise, everything was yummy and we had a very pleasant experience here!

This was our first trip to Greensboro and I chose Proximity based on the great reviews and beautiful pictures on the website.
We arrived about noon on a Friday and couldn't find any parking in the main lot. We drove further away in the lot and found something. The man who greeted us apologized and said there was a big event there that day.
The lobby is gorgeous and there's also a beautiful lower level with lots of comfy seating. I had some work to do, so I brought it down there instead of sitting in the room.
We upgraded to a corner suite and I loved it. My favorite part was probably

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hotel!
Had to call the hotel when I was booking online as I was slightly confused by the room pricing. There was a "Best Available Rate" for $329/night or a "Sustainability" rate of $269/night. Ummmm... what's the difference? Would t the "best available rate BE the lower rate? Like, why would anyone purchase the higher rate if there was a lower rate, unless it came with something MORE? Well, turns out the SUSTAINABILITY rate came with more: early 2pm check-in and late 2pm check-out AND $30 credit for their restaurant, room service, movie rental
