So do not get me wrong, this resort is beautiful. However for it to be a Autograph Collection, I expected a bit more.
The room was a bit more spacious than your typical hotel room. However besides that it was not much different than the Springhill that I'd previously stayed in. I mean down to the bathroom, it is almost identical. I do realize that the upcharge in price is probably due to the location but it is not giving that it is worth it.
I do acknowledge that they do have a lot of amenities but you are also paying for those amenities in the resort fee. I will say that I highly enjoyed

What a fantastic2 night Thanksgiving escape to this resort. 5 stars for us and this is why....
-Beautifully appointed room and comfy bed and large shower. My amazing fiance is 6'3" and the shower head is high enough that he isn't anywhere near the showerhead! Most unique "do not disturb" sign which is actually a woven knot!!!
-Employees Jean (Sand Bar) and I believe it was Paul (La Marea). Jean is so personable, welcoming and makes THE best rum drinks and margaritas. Jean is one of the reasons we ate & drank so much!! He remembered what we drank the day before and

Very disappointing from start to finish. First, my wife checked us in while I parked the truck. The very unhelpful desk attendant tried to put us in a room downgrade from the upgrade we paid for. 20 minutes later we were "punished" by getting out into a balcony room with zero view literally in a forest of sable of sable palms.
From there we went to their on site restaurant, had an awful meal and service. I asked for a beer list and the waitress told me she didn't have one but suggested I get up and walk across the room to look at the taps.... I did...asked for a sample of a beer

This place is amazing ! A little pricey but worth is the premises are very clean they have their own private beach which is very clean and clear water they have about 3 restaurants on sites and 2 bars by the beach however if u choose to bring a cooler they aren't allowed but you can get away with hiding one but you never heard that from me, every night they have some type of party or special events which is pretty cool if you are celebrating anything special you can call ahead and they have different packages for wine and cheese strawberries with chocolate anything that's may need all

While I've spent time in the Keys, the Playa Largo Resort was not on my radar until recently. After vacationing there in late July with my wife and 3 children, I am happy to report that Playa Largo not only met but exceeded my high standards and expectations. The atmosphere, hospitality, attention to detail, facility maintenance, and food service and quality were very good.
When we were making the reservation the agent suggested that we should extend our stay at Playa Largo rather than continue on to Key West. I love Key West, but, in retrospect, she was right. Playa Largo is the best everything

Amazing service from our Dock Hand Chris and the pool side servers Bobby and Marley. Now for the warning, limited adjoins rooms. This was a rare family trip. We booked two rooms early and also reserved a boat slip on property which is awesome. When I booked the two rooms I called to confirm I could get adjoining rooms because we have 2 young boys. I also called again 3 weeks prior to arrival. I spoke with the front desk. They confirmed we had adjoining rooms.
Side note - the suites are not real suites but just larger rooms with no closing internal bedroom door.

We loved every second of it here. Gorgeous beyond belief. The beach is spacious and perfect. The pool is a dream. Everything was so clean and safe. The staff is attentive and professional. I love this hotel!! The drinks yes...they are expensive....but we expected that. cute crazy iguana's everywhere. Lots of places to lounge and relax. Not crowed , but not dead either. The other guest all super friendly and a good group of people. I can't wait to go back again.

I get that it's a pandemic and I have been trying to give the benefit of the doubt when writing my reviews during this time. I will go back and adjust up or down based on a future experience but for now, this review will stand.
The Playa Largo resort is a Marriott Autograph collection property and in so, comes with a level of expectation which really may be hard to meet during the pandemic. Something was just off during my visit and try as I might, the best reason I can come up with for it is lack of experienced staffing as all of my issues come down to people.

What an awesome stay!!! Gorgeous property!! The room was spotless, and since the moment you walk inside the hotel you will notice their chick elegant style!
They have 3 restaurants in property, I recommend all 3, delicious food, La Marea has amazing breakfast and dinner, great service as well, Sun by the Sea has an incredibly amazing ocean view! Perfect for any meal!!! The sand bar is ideal if you enjoy live music and pool side with ocean view also. The vive is phenomenal!

We checked in easily, unfortunately our room wasn't ready so we chilled for an hour by the pool. Our king room with a balcony facing a private garden was lovely. We had a Nespresso coffee pot, mini fridge, large TV and a very comfortable bed. It was a large, quiet, comfortable and very well appointed room. Unfortunately, we were missing cups, laundry bags...
The beach and pool with very nice with chairs, chaises, gazebos, fire pits & hammocks. There were flags on each chair to be raised if we wanted food, drinks or service. The turquoise ocean was perfect unfortunately people came

This resort use to be fantastic. In recent visits however the service has went completely down hill. The lobby personnel were completely inattentive and didn't care. One guy vlad just shrugged his shoulders, when I tried to escalate the problem no one could properly address my concerns. (No one knew anything about the dock fees or how it worked)
They also didn't clean the room and put us in a handicap access room. I also heard another guest angry that his room was unkept.
The bar and pool staff were great.
I'm a titanium elite and this is my first complaint about a Marriott property

Our opinion...this is the best place we stayed for the whole 10 days Florida keys adventure.....for the money and omggg the service is super excellent and we will be back absolutely 200%.

I spent a weekend at Playa Largo on my way back to Key West and was looking forward to my stay at this Autograph Collection hotel. As a lifetime Marriott Platinum member, I've spent a lot of time at their brands and look forward to the uniqueness that Autograph properties bring. Unfortunately, this property could have been better.

We had a great time hanging out by the pool area & sand bar, the resort is beautifully maintained & has amazing service.
We had a few drinks as we waited for the sunset to arrive.
Manuel was our bartender was attentive & friendly! We met the manager, Eli, who actually mentioned to me about their eventide bell, it's a bell that lets everyone know it's sunset time.
It was fun to watch the sunset with good company and be the one to ring the bell that evening hehe :)

"Sushi" was rolls and the only real raw fish was a couple of basic sashimi offerings. The service was fairly awful with the bartender having to help out. The restaurant was probably 1/3 full at the most.
Beer offerings were limited to the same beers that is available in all the resorts other restaurants. The highlight seemed to be the cocktail offerings that were unique and fun although fairly overpriced.
Overall I would consider this a place to get a drink and a little snack but in no way consider this a sushi place.

Had a fantastic ceviche. The "mixto" had all sorts of great seafood and the right amount of spice. A friend ordered sushi and it was truly exceptional. We sat at the bar and the bartender was one of the best ever. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. He made an absolutely great drink that I've not ever heard of before.
