This was THE best comprehensive eye exam I have ever had. Dr. Somji was great. He was very attentive and very professional. His staff was excellent. I felt like they helped to maximize my benefits and were very personable. Their office is very clean, and they had a great selection of frames. I ended up getting a pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs that are adorable!
I guess I'm so used to the Target Optometrists that spend a total of 15 minutes with you that I was pleasantly surprised by Horizon Eye Care. Dr. Somji is very thorough and patient. He genuinely cares about the vision health of his patients. I have been struggling with my contacts, and he has been very creative in finding me the perfect prescription.

At Horizon Eye Care & Optical, medical eye exams are conducted using the latest technology and advanced diagnostics. Drs. Alireza and Sana Somji will inspect your eyes thoroughly to detect or rule out any ocular conditions. The early signs of eye disease, such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy can only be identified during a professional eye exam.
The Zeiss Visucam Pro-NM is a high-resolution retinal camera that captures images of the back of your eyes. We use the instrument to photo-document conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal diseases, glaucoma and other optic nerve disorders. The Optical Coherence Tomographer, known as the OCT, is a scanning laser that captures MRI-like images of your corneas, anterior chamber, retina, and optic nerve.
When you invest in contact lenses or eyeglasses from our optical dispensary we will donate to Optometry Giving Sight to help bring eye exams and glasses to children who need them around the world. Third time that they forgot about me. One with my appointment, I talked to them and they said that they will call back, after 3 weeks still not called back and two other times with my glasses. Fist time They said 1-2 weeks and nothing, I called after 3 weeks and ups, they forgot about me. Then the glasses were wrong so the have to correct them, now is about 1 month and still not glasses and not even a phone call. I called a few days ago and requested to talk to the doctor Somji but until now he still doesn't call back

But the 3 star review is because of their billing agency. Last year, I was treated for an eye infection and the bills were never sent to me. I called up Horizon after a month of treatment to remind them to send me the bills, but still nothing. When I went back to Horizon nearly 1.5 years later, they discovered unpaid bills in their system. So here I am paying my eyecare bills from last year. Would be great if Horizon could be prompt about these things.

I participated in the 2020 Athlete Eye Performance Training Center with Dr. Somji. Since completing the program, I have noticed improvements with my vision such as increased focus when switching between near/far as well as an increase in my peripheral vision. Dr. Somji is committed to providing his clients with the best possible method in reaching their vision goals. I highly recommend this program for anyone looking to enhance and optimize their visual performance, regardless of being an athlete or not.

I see Dr. Somji once a year for routine eye exams and his care is always excellent. Over the summer, my husband's eye became red and painful. We made an appointment with Dr. Somji to have it checked out. He immediately recognized the seriousness of my husband's condition and within an hour we were seeing a surgical specialist in the medical center and he was in surgery the next day. Luckily, my husband made a full recovery which we credit to Dr. Somji's quick identification of the problem which could have easily been dismissed. We can't thank Dr. Somji enough for his kindness

My wife accidentally poked herself in the eye Sunday late morning with her glasses. She had recurring pain for an hour.
We contemplated going into the emergency room, however, she called her optometrist at HORIZON eye Care & Optical and left a voice message. Within several minutes Dr. Somji returned our call and told us to meet him at the office within the hour.
When we arrived, Dr. Somji was waiting and took us in immediately. He examined my wife, administered a type of eye therapy, and scheduled an appointment for the following day for follow-up.

I have been going to Dr. Somji for the past few years and he has always been very professional and thorough during the exam process. Recently, my young daughter had some eye issues and he was very patient and helpful with her. He went above and beyond to ensure her problem would be resolved as soon as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Somji for his expertise and his sincere care for his patients.

We've been going to this facility for years. Originally, Dr. Friedberg was our optometrist. However, since Dr. Friedberg's retirement we are still receiving great service.
Dr. Somji is very informative and has all the latest and greatest technology. His exams are very thorough and provides you with all the options when there's an issue with your eyes.
They have an adequate selection of eyewear. Mostly designer frames.

My family has been coming to Horizon since my oldest sister (now 32) was a little girl. Although they've recently changed optometrists because Dr. Friedberg retired, I'm happy to say that the service and treatment is still perfectly superb. Got my annual eye exam done here for the first time...and, with certainty, it was the last!
They happily charged my insurance for a comprehensive exam but did not provide me with a prescription for my contacts, only glasses. The pretext used is that I did not accept to pay for the additional cost.
When I went back to get the prescription and asked what extra I was required to pay to get a prescription of contact lenses, they would not provided me with a quote/estimate - just stating that the cost of contact lenses exams vary drastically. B.S. in it's best form!
The end result, I have gone
