Les Amis (pronounced Le Zami) means "The Friends" in French. We first opened our doors in 2011 and it referred to the relationship we wanted to build with our clients in a judgement-free environment. Program: Les Amis' 12-month apprenticeship/assistant program gives you all the tools you will need to become a successful stylist. The training focuses on haircuts, color, highlighting, creative color and blow-dry techniques, certification for Brazilian Blowout and Keratin smoothing, and Matrix retexturing services.

I got a super chic cut and beautiful color done by Bauj! She took a look at what I wanted, and made it look exactly like it if not better! She's also super friendly and very kind. I also melted when she washed my hair- her head massage was awesome. I highly recommend her as a hair stylist she's great!

After trying out multiple salons in San Francisco, I went on Yelp, found Debra, and haven't looked back. Since 2018, Debra has been coloring and cutting my hair. Beyond making my hair look great, she is a great to spend a couple of low-key hours with. As a working Mom, getting my hair done is a chance to self-pamper. I always look forward to catching up with Debra and showing off my hair after.

Debra is awesome! She's incredibly talented and knows what she's doing. I've been going to her for years and this past weekend I really needed a fresh color and cut for my friend's wedding. Debra literally NEVER disappoints!! Love that she's so stylish and hip-- she knows exactly what to do that compliments my face the most and stays trendy. I don't know anything about hair whatsoever, so coming to her makes it really easy since she knows exactly what I'm going for with little direction from me. Loveeeee the color and cut, and I love it even more when it grows out-- it's so natural and pretty still! Literally get compliments every time I get my hair done!! Highly highly recommend, she's the one!!

I've been coming here since I moved to the neighborhood in 2013 and have kept coming back because of the great staff, friendly atmosphere, and, of course, great haircut. Debra Liu has been cutting and styling my pixie cut for the past several years after my previous stylist moved out of the area. She does an excellent job, is warm, welcoming, and not afraid to be her authentic self. I wholeheartedly recommend Debra!

It's been a while since I've been obsessed with my hair stylist...until I met Debra! She's one of those stylist who not just cuts, but "gets" your hair from the texture, the wave, the movement, the color. She takes all that into account plus your vision for the style and her made scissor talent brings out the best in my hair and my look.

I've been getting my hair cut here for years and I love it! I recently just had an appointment with Debra and she was fantastic! I had a haircut and highlights done. It was my first time trying highlights, and she was very kind and reassuring throughout the whole process. And I love my new highlights and will definitely come again! I was desperately searching for someone technically competent with thin fine short hair. Katie was outstanding--she listened to my concerns, evaluated texture and color, and involved me every step of the way, explaining as she worked. The cut took a lot of painstaking effort.
She also introduced me to new products and how to use them--I've tried every product in the book, but her education made a big difference--after a week, I'm surprised at the products and delighted with the beautiful cut.

I have been going to Les Amis for the past 4 years regularly. Before the pandemic I had very short hair and my hairdresser Jocelyn created amazing haircuts and colors with it. She gave me various amazing edgy cuts and bold colors, from golden to lavender over the years. She always brings something new and exciting to try. After the pandemic once I was vaccinated Les Amis was one of my first destinations. Now with unintentional longer hair Jocelyn worked her magic again and made it look great.
Everyone is super friendly and they all provide great service. I would not even dream of going elsewhere

Samantha is an amazing hair stylist! This is my first time bleaching my hair, as I went from a dark brunette to a dirty blonde, and she was with me every step of the way. Being a man that has only dyed his hair once before to a reddish brown—with Samantha, mind you—this was a fantastic first time experience being bleached. All my questions were fulfilled and I felt that the customer service was top notch.

First, I have to start off with the covid precautions. I have had a haircut here with both levels (purple/red) and they kept up the most stringent protocols. If your stylist is not ready, they have you wait outside (the area is gorgeous) so as not to expose you to anything you need not be. They thoroughly clean and sanitize each station before every appointment. There is more than the required space between each client

Les Amis is a great salon, and Katie is a great stylist. For the many years I've been coming here (probably 10), both salon and stylist have always been both welcoming and professional. Katie is a color wizard who worked with me to grow out a very unbecoming highlight job, and at every step of the usually-painful process I got lots of compliments on how good my hair looked.
