Blacksburg Pharmacy was founded by Senthil "Sen" Marimuthu. Sen moved to Blacksburg in 2004 and quickly fell in love with the college town atmosphere and strong community spirit. After over a decade of experience in retail pharmacy in Blacksburg, Sen decided the best way to serve the people of the New River Valley was to operate his own independent pharmacy.

This pharmacy left such an impression on me today that i had to write this review! I have never been greeted with such great customer service in a long time. The folks working there was extremely attentive, kind and responsive to me the minute i walked in the door. The customer service is TOP NOTCH!! I cant say that loud enough.. They helped get the prescription from the doctor by calling him to get it in the system so i didnt have to come back. The pharmacist came over to me personally to tell me about the medication and when to take it etc.. This is a "neighborhood pharmacy"

I never write reviews but this Pharmacy was so amazing that I felt the need to let people know. I was traveling with my kids to Tennessee and forgot the nebulizer at home. My son started coughing as we were driving and I knew it was going to be a rough night for him. Called my pediatrician and they called in a prescription for a children's inhaler since it would be easier for us to travel with so I didn't have to buy a whole new machine. I have never used an inhaler on my 5 yo before and was really nervous. The pharmacist was AMAZING! he walked me through all the steps a couple

This pharmacy is the best! When you have a question and need to call them, the phone is answered quickly and by a PERSON! No annoying robot who gives all sorts of info I don't need, or press this button, then that button, to only be put on hold forever. Blacksburg Pharmacy has plenty of friendly staff on hand, and are very anxious to help. I am so glad we switched. It is always a plus to be able to supporting a local business that cares about our community.

I came in from out of town and stopped at the drive through to pick up a prescription for my mom. The pharmacist recognized the name & came over to the drive through window for a friendly chat (wow), then dropped everything to help me handle a refill I needed for myself when I asked him what to do about the way every Rite Aid in this part of the country has permanently closed. Normally my mom gets per prescriptions delivered and just raves about this place, all I know is the good vibes and stressless service here are definitely contributing to people’s health and well-being.

They went above and beyond to get my meds transferred from my out-of-state provider. They sent emails to make sure I knew the status of working with the prescriber. They called when they were done with it, just to remind me. They were super nice when I arrived, and the whole place and the people were decked out with COVID precautions. Good prices, too. Couldn't have asked for better service.

This will be my go-to pharmacy as long as we live in Blacksburg. Always friendly and willing to help, employees here seem to genuinely care about their customers. I had to buy a nebulizer for my 3-month-old and the owner (I think) went over how to use it with me when I was already overwhelmed with my son's first illness. Blacksburg Pharmacy is a pleasant reminder of why I want to keep shopping at local businesses and help them thrive.

Seriously can't say enough about this place. I have been going to the same Pharmacist (Sen) for years, he used to work at a major pharmacy in Blacksburg. He is now at Blacksburg Pharmacy (almost always, I don't think he ever takes a day off), and wherever he goes, I'll bring my business. The guy will bend over backwards to help people, and exemplifies the way any business should be run. His staff is great, his prices are better than the alternatives.
