Our Greek-style pizza has been bringing patrons down to Roosevelt Drive for over thirty-five years when our owner, Gus Markos, founded the location in 1984. Apollo Pizza is famous throughout the Valley and beyond for its legacy of handcrafted pizzas, grinders, calzones, salads, wings, and more. Our dough is made from scratch and stretched by hand, daily.
Our red and white pizza sauces are prepared right here in our back kitchen using Gus' special recipes. The unique cheese blend that tops each pie is hand shredded to maximize taste and texture. Pizza is serious business to us and we craft our pies with the freshest and highest quality ingredients - THIS is why pizza lovers love our pizzas!

The first time I ordered , I had to wait an additional half hour because they didn’t realize they had gotten my order. Ok no problem, pizza was good and he was very apologetic.
I again ordered through slice ( the only way I was able to order online) went there to pick it up and it was closed. Alice told me they were not informed the business was closed. Not sure what’s going on there but I works strongly recommend calling to order.
They get an F on the online ordering process!

I bought a small plain Pizza here a few years ago. Looked good when I got it home.. But the pie was only half cooked. The middle of the pie was still frozen and the bottom of the pie was burned. I don't know if they got any better because I have not been back. First impression is everything. Guess you all get the point.

We've been ordering here for years and this is hands down our favorite pizza place in the valley. The place isn't much inside but the service you get from Gus more than makes up for it; he's super friendly and makes you feel welcomed. Their wings are also very yummy..I love my wings well done (and somewhat crunchy) and that's exactly how they are made here. We often do take out as well and our orders are always prepped quickly. Fresh ingredients, great flavor. Definitely a must try if you're ever traveling on 34!

SO yummy! I order the same specialty pizza once every other week or so and Gus always makes it perfectly and orders the specific ingredients needed just for me! Cream cheese pizza may sound odd but it's DELICIOUS! They're always quick and if they don't think your food is cooked to perfection, they'll remake it before you have to ask. The staff is incredibly pleasant and the food is delicious. Apollo is my favorite pizza joint in the area!!! Highly recommend!! It's always a great place to go in and sit for a quick pizza night out with the family. The owner truly wants to

I've been going there consistently for 4 years now, they are excellent at staple items (pepperoni pizza, grinders, etc). When you order something a little different, they could use more practice. Overall, good standard pizza place, nice staff and pretty good place to dine in.
I will continue to go there.
I will continue to go there.

So I go here from time to time and if your in the valley its an OK pizza parlor. No frills, pizza is better than average, slices and portions are a good size.
However the guy behind the counter is way busier chatting it up w his regulars or on the phone to notice if you want to order or buy something else..
And on a few occasions he's yanking used car parts out of delivery boxes that are dusty and filthy then going right back to handling the pizzas....
I get this a small business owner and a working Joe trying to get by like there is of us and this is no 5 star establishment.. but C&apos

Stopped here with a work colleague for lunch. We both had pizza and shared.
Pizza #1 was called Portuguese Seafood with a pink sauce (white & red mixed) and was LOADED with clams, large shrimp, chicken cutlet & Portuguese Chourico (Spicy Sausage). We barely put a dent into it but it was SO good. Rest became take home.
Pizza #2 was a white sauce Broccoli, Chourico and fresh cooked large shrimp that we both agreed was perfectly balanced and probably edged out #3 slightly as that combo just simply worked.
Unique is their crust which is not thin or thick but very crispy and really

Recently tried Apollos after a long day at the hospital. Usually what I will do is call ahead while driving home and then pick up a pie.
Well this pizza at Apollos was just mediocre. Nothing jumped out at me. One confusing thing, at least for me, was when ordering they asked me what type of crust I wanted. In the pic I posted, you can see it is pretty thin, but that is their thick crust. So, I can only speak to that. Prices were slightly above average (contrary to what my neighbor said about this place compared to Roseland). When I picked it up, the place was empty. I'll probably

I was eager to try this place as a friend who frequents it highly recommended that I try it out. Based on my experience with a Greek pizza restaurant in Norwalk, I just knew my sausage-eggplant pie from Apollo's would be disgustingly delicious.
I took one bite, then two, then a couple more. I guess I needed a few bites to assure myself that I paid nearly $20 for a bland, greasy, and depressing pie. Hopefully, the grinders & entrees are better quality than their pizzas.
