Services
I started this school because I had a degree in Family & Child Development. My grandmother died and left me $10,000. I wanted to have my own preschool and that became my down payment for some land and the front area of the building. My sister was my partner. Shortly after opening the doors, however, her husband was transferred out of state.
Green Meadows Preschool's family atmosphere encourages a complete person. Each child's development is bound to a supporting, loving, prepared, and qualified teacher. Our philosophy comprehends early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploration, and discovery. Preschool children are creative and receptive.
The discipline of young children is a sensitive topic where balance, trust, judgment, and understanding are important elements to respect. Love and Logic is a philosophy of raising and teaching children which allows adults to be happier, empowered, and more skilled in the interactions with children.
Our menu offers a variety of healthy food choices. We introduce new foods slowly because we know children's tastes differ from adults'. We strive for simple, healthy, and homemade offerings while encouraging each child to take a bite of each food served. We want the children to experience a variety of foods and we have to recognize: "the readiness factor" inherent to all learning may not be present.
Green Meadows Preschool encourages applications from individuals who enjoy working with young children. We want you to have the capacity and confidence in yourself and others to develop warm, connected, and long-term personal relationships.
