In 1930, husband and wife Charlie & Arlene Ferris opened Ferris Stamp in downtown Albany at 402 Broadway. Later they incorporated coins into their business model as Ferris Stamp and Coin. In the 1960s, after her husband died of a heart attack, Mrs. Ferris sold the business to Wendell C. Williams who relocated the shop to Lark Street before relocating again to 114 Central Ave. in 1976.

When I heard about this Jewelry Store, through my son, it caught my attention. So I drove to Ferris Coins & Jewelry to purchase some jewelry for my sister and Niece for the holiday. I was greeted with the up most attention. The employees were very sweet and pointed out some of the most beautiful jewelry that were to my liking. Their totally focus is on you. First time here and couldn't be happier that I chose them. I had some old silver coins from my parents that I took to them to be evaluated. Feel I got an awesome price for all money I brought to them. I dealt with Mike and he was more than pleasant and knowledgeable about his trade. They are conveniently located on Wolf Rd. I also noted they have some absolutely beautiful vintage jewelry as well as new jewelry pieces. This is a place that should be checked out! I know I will return!

Stopped by today to inquire about purchasing 100 ounces of Silver American Eagles. I know spot prices today are just under 24.00 per ounce. I was told by an associate that my price was 3200.00 total for the 100 silver coins, thats a solid 8 dollars premium over spot! I mentioned I had 3000.00 cash in my pocket and they didnt bat an eye. The least they could have done was to take my name with my offer of 3000.00 for 100 ounces , but chose not to and even mentioned that they really dont like to take cash! Im not sure how long this company has been in business, but they wont gain mine.Its a shame

Very happy with my experience today at Ferris coin. They were crazy busy but when it was my turn they took the time to go thru every coin and gave a very fair price.
