The Hotel Denver
The delightful, unexpected touches and old-world hospitality of our Glenwood Springs hotel have endeared locals and visitors alike since 1915. Modern amenities meet tasteful nods to the past for a stay that's truly unique. You have come to the right place. You may not have time to explore every corner of Glenwood Springs, but wandering The Hotel Denver will give you a crash course in history - not just of the hotel, but of the community.

If the walls could talk, they would tell stories of immigrant struggles, prohibition, WWII, a shooting or two, and of the good times as well. Experience Glenwood Springs in the furniture, walls, bricks, and floors. Part of the fun at Hotel Denver in Glenwood Springs is choosing from the variety of unique hotel rooms and suites we have to offer.

Friendly front desk clerks and a clean and well equipped room. Unfortunately I left a new pair of headphones in the room and when I contacted the hotel (same day I checked out) they promised to look and give me a call back. No call back. No headphones back. Hope someone enjoys that new pair of headphones!

Fun historic hotel in the busy heart of this pretty mountain town. Experimental IPA on nitro was a treat - attached brewery is well worth a visit. Rooms are clean and bed was extremely comfortable.

We were booked for 3 nights at Hotel Colorado. However, our room was dark, dismal, lacking in basic amenities, and needed repairs not to mention updates. Stopped in at Hotel Denver. We were checked in immediately. Extremely professional and friendly front desk help, super clean and modern, spacious room, quiet, and convenient location to DT amenities. HIGHLY recommend this place. We will definitely book with Hotel Denver when we visit again.

Outstanding stay for us. We were traveling with dogs and had a room with two windows and lots of space. The front desk team was incredible accommodating and helped us with our special requests. The location was outstanding, as well as the included parking in an adjacent lot. Close walking distance to some of the top restaurants in town, including The Pullman next door which was outstanding. Will definitely stay here next time we visit Glenwood Springs.

AMAZING place. My wife and I had our honeymoon here and it couldn't have been better. Location is great, you're on the right side of town with TONS of restaurants And shops, the Amtrak station is literally across the Street, and our 3rd floor suite was great, quiet and had an awesome view.
The entire staff here rocks, and the discount they give for the hot springs (ONLY go to Iron Mountain Hot Springs) are great. Having a brewpub, a cafe and a hair salon in one building is incredible.
Bathrooms were a bit small, but that comes with the territory with such an old place. Parking is included with

Great hotel located in the middle of it all. Glenwood Hot springs is located across the river, complimentary towels from hotel, and you can get your tickets at the front desk. Fun pub located on the first floor and no need to wander for fun times and great beer. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with directions and ideas for food and fun. There is a great coffee shop attached to the lobby and it serves breakfast items and amazing coffee drinks. We would have stayed longer but we were on a one night stay adventure with Rocky Mountaineer, but would definitely stay here again. Enjoy!

I have stayed here a lot over the past few years. I was there the other day and it didn't go well. They stuffed me into a small inside room ($219) after raising the price $60 since a few months ago. This building is clean, but sterile. There's no life. I went for a massage but the place closed at 3:00 PM!
- No refrigerator in rooms.
- No microwave oven.
- Higher room rates.
- No dining facilities on site.
- No water refill stations.
- No dining options.
I will explore other options for our next stay.

Hotel Denver is the best place to stay in Glenwood (and I’ve been coming to Glenwood Springs for more than 30 years). Location is ideal, close to all the best restaurants & shops. Amtrak is across the street. Pedestrian bridge takes you right across the river to the Hot Springs Pool. The hotel itself is incredibly comfortable with huge rooms, complete with all the modern upgrades & renovations while still retaining the old-fashioned charm of an historic hotel. Antiques plus plenty of outlets! Best of all, dogs are welcome!!!

Lovely old building that appears well maintained. Spacious rooms with great views. Walking distance to everything the town has to offer. Book with the understanding you are across the street from the train station. You will hear them rolling through. I am a train nut so it was a bonus. My wife doesn't share the same passion but was able to deal with it.

Unfortunately, this stay left me speechless in the worst way. Gorgeous historic hotel...and the hairiest beds I've ever encountered. We were in a 2 bed 1 bath and the initial bed sheets were covered with other people's hair. On the top quilt, inner sheets, blankets, and even the pillowcase. We went down to request a bedding change and when they brought up new sheets...surprise! Another hair peeking right out before we even unfold them. We get a third set and there are even more hairs on those. We eventually strip down the beds to work with something to sleep on, and even the pillow had

Staff is fantastic. The room was ok. Bed was comfortable but creaky. If the other person rolled over everyone woke up. The bathroom is tiny. No place really to put more than one person's bathroom stuff and one person barely fits inside.

Picked the place because it was supposed to be nicer and had AC and allowed dogs. The AC was a lifesaver. The room itself was large and comfortable. Our view was wonderful and we were on the train side 2nd floor but you couldn't hear the trains.

Short walk over the bridge to the hot springs.

No room service but attached to a brewery pub and you

If I could give this place and Roger Smith a -1 I would. I had stayed here for two nights at the last minute. I have never experienced such attitude and entitlement. I have stayed at way more high end properties such as the "W" and the "Ritz". I had called to make another reservation since I wanted to stay there for a few more nights, I had emailed the GM Roger Smith and left him a message he never called. One of the ladies at the front desk said I wasn't welcome there due to getting into a verbal disagreement with the chef. If you don't know that is hearsay, over

One of our all time favorite hotels to stay at. The brick hotel has been redone beautifully and is cozy, warm and very comfortable. The rooms are each different in decor and size. There is beautiful antique furniture in every room. Their rooms are spacious and clean. Reminiscent of days past but in the most updated , current way. I enjoy hanging out in the rooms just relaxing.
The Glenwood hot springs are a short walk across a bride from the hotel. The hotel provides a towel , bag and water when you purchase tickets to the hot springs at the front desk. The train station also is just across

This was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had, even during a pandemic! The location is super convenient, being walking distance from all the great restaurants, Doc Holiday's Grave for a short hike, the train station, Yampah Spa and the Iron Mountain Springs. Our Signature room was a delight, overlooking the mountains and river, had 2 bathrooms, a spacious living room, coffee machine and glasses for making our own cocktails. I fell in love with the hotel decor itself which was quite unique and rustic. They also have a lovely coffee shop as well as a Brew pub, which was sadly

So we stayed here while in Glenwood springs for three days. This is a very cute hotel which an older rustic vibe. The rooms were cute but were missing out on a refrigerator, and a microwave. The associates were very nice, friendly and accommodating. There were only two small body towels for myself and my wife. I asked for two additional towels and I had to go to the desk to pick them up due to the worker at the desk being the only person working at the moment. Not that bog of a deal. The tv is only a 32" tv, but while on vacation, we didn't spend too much time in the room. The bed is

Our stay at the Hotel Denver was unmatched to no other. I've stayed in beautiful resorts around the world, all-inclusives, Ritz Carleton's, etc.
But The Hotel Denver brings a welcoming, historic, almost eerie (in a good way) vibe. Our stay at the Colorado room was beyond pleasant and the staff went the extra mile to help me set up the room with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and champagne for our arrival. Thank you to Sam, Jesse, Oscar, and Roxie who went out of their way to make our experience one to remember, tell stories about, and hopefully revisit in the future.

I really liked this place, great location to all the great restaurants downtown. And it's in good condition. Last year we stayed at Hotel Colorado and were disappointed in its condition. So we were pleasantly surprised and would definitely come back to a Hotel Denver next time.

Loved this charming, unique hotel! Amazing front staff and customer service. Chelsea was very friendly and knowledgeable about the city and area. This place is very close to Glenwood hot springs and they offered us discounted tickets as well as complimentary towels to bring with us. It's in the heart of Glenwood springs with lots of great restaurants and shops next door. Traveling with our pup makes finding nice lodging difficult, but they are very pet friendly and we couldn't have found a better place to spend the night. Highly recommend!

My husband and I love staying here!

Staff is always friendly & helpful, rooms are consistently comfy/ clean, they allow dogs and really seem to love them!

Easy walk from hotel to hot springs and they even give you towels to take along with bottles of water. (Just remember to return the towels and don't leave at the hot springs)

Lastly, the hotel has a brewery attached which offers great brews and the food is amazing!

A special thanks to the staff at the front desk on Friday, May 17th, 2019 (I'm sorry I forgot names). Anyways, my husband, daughter and pets checked in to meet

E surprised me with a birthday weekend in Glenwood, and booked a room at the Hotel Denver so we could bring our pups. Not only do they accept furry lodgers - they outright LOVE them. Our dogs had such a good time that I'm amazed they came home with us!

Anne, the night desk person during our stay, was also one of the NICEST people we have ever met. She loved our dogs, and treated us so well every time we walked through the doors. She is an absolute treasure!

The nicest thing about their pet friendly policy is that there are no nightly pet fees. Other places in town wanted an additional $100

Awesome stay. The staff really makes this place special.

We took the train from Denver and the Hotel is literally 20 steps across the low traffic 2 way street. Also love the location so close to our 2 new favorite restaurants... Pullman and CoRanchHouse both just on the next block West.

Check in was smooth and the front desk staff welcomed us with smiles, bottled waters and fresh apples.

We stayed in the penthouse and our family of 4 enjoyed being able to spread out a bit. The private roof top patio was nice and we had a great time sitting outside sipping our complimentary bottle of wine..
