At Bayside Animal Hospital, we strive to provide the very best veterinary care for dogs and cats. Our practice is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Practices that are AAHA Member Facilities must first voluntarily meet extremely rigorous standards set forth by the association for both the facility as well as the professional care its doctors and staff provide.
At Bayside Animal Hospital, we think of the pets in our community as extended members of our family. We were founded by a local veterinarian, Dr. Mills in 1980. In 1997, Drs. Spofford and Gosser purchased the practice and have been there ever since!

Bayside Animal Hospital offers preventive care and services for kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. Exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, ear mites, dental disease, skin issues and allergies.

We moved to Cambridge a year and a half ago and needed a new vet.
Our vet in Easton closed through COVID and was terribly unresponsive even as things reopened.
But vets aren't like coffee shops. It's hard to just switch. Our fur babies care is on the line.
Bayside has been a joy to work with (we have 3 dogs of different ages). Reasonably priced and knowledgeable with good common sense approaches to our dogs care.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Bayside. We switched from another vet practice that was bought out and had gone downhill (if you’re local I’m sure you can take a guess) and don’t regret our decision at all. They had evening appointment availability within 2 days of my initial call. Pleasant and friendly front desk staff both over the phone and at check in. Dr. Gosser is wonderful. Our dog has a lengthy medical history and a chronic condition that requires ongoing medication and monitoring. She took her time reviewing her history and speaking with us at great length, despite

I brought my 4yr old dog Henry in on August 23, 2021 for annual vaccinations and toenail trim with Dr. Ferguson. We brought Henry home and soon after he was completely dragging one leg behind him. I called Bayside immediately and was told by whomever answered the phone that this was normal and to wait 48 hrs. The following evening, August 24, my dog was unable to stand and I took videos to show the vet of him collapsing from one side to the other as he attempted to walk. They are always so courteous and kind. I love boarding my dog here but still I worry why he comes home whimpering and cowering like he was hurt or something. Never really had any issues. If anyone knows anything, please reach out. I am a little concerned. It takes him almost three weeks to remain normalcy. The pricing is manageable but at what expense?

Our little man, Mr. Business had his first trip to the Dr. Spofford since it was his time for his 1 year check-up and vaccinations/shots. He did fairly well on his first car ride there but amazingly he was even more calm after entering the office. The doctor & staff were wonderful during the treatment and in the way they handled him during the visit. He was so relaxed he slept the whole ride home! 😊

VERY BAD SERVICE!!!! Would not recommend, they don’t care about your feelings and they string you on. I’m a customer I’ve taken my dog and cats there multiple times!!! I just needed a second job temporary, they said they were hiring 2-4 people for the position! I put in an application about 2 weeks ago I got an email stating “employer has viewed your application” I called Friday October 9th to get an update and make sure they got my app. They were closed I left a message for them to get back to me. I called again Monday afternoon because

Dr. William Spofford and his entire team at Bayside Animal Hospital are absolutely amazing. Not only did he accept our labrador retriever with a possible fatal disease... but also during the COVID-19 pandemic and when no one else would help.
