The food was great, the lady that must be the manager was so nasty when part of our party didn't show up for a pre-Christmas dinner and said that she was going to charge us for the meals anyway. Only after we offered to go elsewhere did she give. The restaurant was not full. We had a reservation for 12 and only 8 showed. We all had appetizers and drinks so our bill was considerable. My recommendation is don't make a reservation and just show up. Again the food was great!

There is nothing better than an amazing Italian restaurant. That being said, you have to pick your battles. If you want a candlelight Italian dinner this is the place but the lighting was too bright for my taste. If they dimmed the restaurant lights slightly and lit the candles at every table this place would feel amazingly warm and inviting and help the stand out (are you listening, La Taverna?). I was not impressed at all by the appetizers. But as I said, you have to pick your battles. I'm looking forwards to coming back to try the pizza. But the pasta? Very good. Not quite hitting that

Our usual pizza restaurant was closed Sunday night. We did not know that. So that left us up in the air on what to do about Pizza. I looked on yelp saw this restaurant and said OK let's try it. Ordered cheese pizza with mushrooms. The sauce was very very thin almost like it wasn't there good amount of mushrooms fair amount of cheese the big problem was salt, way too much, way too much salt. So next time for Sunday night Pizza rolls around and we cannot buy our favorite pizza we will look Somewhere else.

Food is great, Gotta give it to the chefs. But I ordered the Chicken Portobello and at first I could taste the HEAVINESS of the white wine they use for the sauce so it didn't matter. But after the third, fourth bite I tasted the wine. That's all the Alfredo white sauce tasted like. I called the manager over and asked if she could take it off the bill because of the difficulty I was having eating and enjoying my meal. The manager came over and said that their was nothing she could do because I had already ate the chicken and ate some of the pasta. Her words were that if I had FIRST

We constantly get takeout from La Traverna, and it is always good. Last week, we decided to go to there for dinner. It was great. The service was excellent, the food quality and quantity were excellent. I had Seafood Delight, and my wife had Chicken Romano. The bread was hot and good, had to wait for it to come out of the oven, and we would dip it in a mix of their fresh grated Parmesan and olive oil for it; great.

I know everyone doesn't like seafood but my plate, with clams, shrimp, scallops, and a lobster tail with home made marinara, was absolutely beyond delicious! Home made cross between French and sourdough bread and a homemade Maple cheesecake slice made from heaven. Don't waste your time standing in line at the chain Italian restaurant in town. Walk right on in to a quiet relaxed atmosphere, sit and eat a feast! Chicken, seafood, veal, pasta! All homemade from handed down recipes! I cannot say enough about La Taverna! It's a wonderful restaurant!

Looking for some great Italian food that's locally owned? Look no further and try this place.
This is a great place to bring friends and have a great dining experience.
One item that we always look forward to is the fresh bread that they bring to the table. It is absolutely amazing.
The staff is always friendly and helpful.
You can't go wrong with their amazing lasagna or their Stromboli.
Please check this place out. It's one of our favorites. We hope your experience is as good as ours.

This place is my family's go to for Italian. It is authentic, freshly prepared Italian made to order. Last week I ordered the Seafood Delight, but explained to my server that I needed the Marina sauce kicked up a good bit with lots of garlic. No problem. Then I proceeded to have the MOST INCREDIBLE dinner that I have had in a long while. This dish was very flavorful and I left nothing behind. In fact, I think I am now going back to get this again. TONIGHT.
My daughter and husband often opt for Del Boscailoa and I agree this dish is also delish.

From the fresh homemade bread. That reminded me of mY Nana's to the espresso, everything was wonderful. The warm peasant
Bread with butter, clams in a white sauce, seasoned to perfection. The veal was tender the pasta al dente, and topping it off with a cannoli and espresso. This meal made me want to curl up and take a long peaceful nap.
This is my new favorite place in South Carolina.
The directions weren't the best, since they just drop you off in the middle of the parking lot, but it was worth searching for it. I grew up in an Italian neighborhood with grandmas making fresh

I ate here about 3 years ago, and vowed never to return. However, a colleague of mine implored that the restaurant was better and had underwent a management change. With an open mind I decided to give it a second try. So I went in for lunch today and was sadly disappointed. Frankly, I didn't even eat. I pulled up and the parking lot was packed giving me a great feeling that the restaurant was both innocuous and busy. I entered the restaurant and immediately noticed there was no one there. Granted, it was 11:30; but one would think that more than two guests would be dining in the restaurant

I was in the mood for Pasta and I remembered my parents took me here years ago when I was visiting Spartanburg. La Taverna was a good choice for Italian tonight. My wife got a pizza, my dad got a Stromboli, and I got penne pasta and sautéed garlic spinach. Everyone was pleased with their choices and the overall freshness and flavor. I have always been amazed that the Olive Garden near here is always packed but La Taverna has a just okay crowd. The food is some of the best Italian you can get in the Burg to my knowledge. To each, their own!
