My brother, Tyrone, used to be a cook here, he no longer works at the restaurant. We had our Christmas lunch today and I suggested this restaurant, it was the worst decision ever. I will NOT eat there again, complete waste of money. No seasoning on the food or gravy on the rice and the dressing has no celery or sage in it all bread….

FOOD: I had the chicken strips (6 was enough to feast on and for leftovers), the Mac n cheese (OHHH YEAH), collards, and the cabbage casserole (PERFECTION!!!!).
I snagged a bit of the delicious cornbread, fish, and fried green tomatoes too.
SERVICE: The team of gracious folks that served us were professional, friendly, and seemed to be genuinely happy to help us as it was my first time (BUT certainly not the LAST). They gave me a piece of the MOOOOOST mouthwatering coconut cake. It was like tres leches cake with sprinkles

I normally don't make reviews but whoever was in the kitchen at Laurenda's today, showed out! Macaroni was tasting better than mine, broccoli casserole was delicious. Less rice more broccoli but I loved it and the chicken! đŸ˜© I ate everything! The cook gave there all today! Make sure you tell him or her EVERYTHING was on point!

The only place in Greer to eat good Southern home cooking besides the "South House"...
("I know this IS NOT ABOUT the South House") but I feel that I should say this...I've eaten good food from the South House over many years. It closed down for a few years, since reopening I've ordered takeout twice, both times I found an item in my food from cross contamination while cleaning up, I assume because one item was a small piece of the stainless steel scrubbers, and the other was a 2 or 3 inch string from a cloth/dish towel.
I always inspect my food by every bite now, no matter where I'm dining.

I can’t even say enough about the fabulous experience we had with Laurenda’s !
The food was probably the best I have ever had. The guests at our wedding celebration just raved about the food and how delicious it was.
The staff was so very kind and caring yet professional in every way. They always responded promptly to questions .... and I had several!
They were clean and the decorations that came along with the food were so elegant.
They were also very efficient- they cleaned everything up so well and did so in such a timely manner.
I have highly recommended them to many and will continue

We are so happy we chose Laurenda's to cater our wedding. The decorations they brought for the buffet tables were lovely. The food was absolutely amazing and the people were super helpful, they even offered to help us watch our dog for a bit. For cocktail hour we had their pretzel bar which was a big hit! We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID and they were very understanding and flexible. Would definitely choose them again!
