AC Auto Body has been in business since 1977 and is family owned and operated by Anthony Ceraso, a New Canaan resident. AC Auto Body & Mechanical Service started off as a small 4 car shop in Mt. Vernon, NY, where Anthony grew up. With hard work and focus on building the future of his collision repair business, the need came to expand and purchase additional buildings to accommodate the rapid growth.
Our new fleet of towing vehicles includes flatbed tow trucks and winch-out service. If you are unable to get your car to us because it doesn't run, our tow trucks are available 24 hours a day to assist. Our fleet is well-equipped for any roadside situation. If your vehicle needs any major auto body or mechanical repairs and is not in driving condition, one of our tow trucks will be sent out to retrieve it immediately.
No job is too large or too small. Our auto body technicians perform all types of auto body work, from minor door dings to major collision damage. We start by offering a fast electronic estimate which ensures you are receiving a fair and competitive price all the time, every time. AC Auto Body & Mechanical Service will even work directly with your insurance company to expedite the repair process and alleviate the stress.
With our computerized DuPont Refinish Color Matching System (the same system used by Nascar(R) and most new car manufacturers), we can duplicate the color of your vehicle to a guaranteed match flawlessly every time. In addition, we are equipped with a state of the art, heated down draft paint booth, and a paint mixing room which provides a ventilated work area for superior quality finishes.
Did you know, you can have your vehicles emissions tested 90 days before its scheduled due date and still retain its current (month and day) due date? This should allow you to plan well in advance for your vehicle's test and avoid any last minute rush. However, having your vehicle tested MORE than 90 days prior to its due date, will make the next scheduled due date 2 years from the date it was tested.

I worked there if your not a friend of the owner Anthony Ceraso or belong to his country club use caution and if you plan on working there use caution he has no regard for safty USE CAUTION
he only cares about money its my personal opinion not slander or deformation of character towards Anthony Ceraso or his business just my personal experience from working there for 12 days and almost being crushed my a truck he ordered me to put up in the air good luck and God bless

I was charged $47.86 to fix a flat tire. When I asked the price to fix a flat tire, the worker let me asked the boss and completed the job. I went to the office for asking the price, a young person told me $ 47.86. I surrendered and paid. When you want to pay $47.86 for a $10-20 flat tire fix, please don’t dismiss this shop.

I have used AC Auto for 15 years. On 3 occasions I’ve been struck at stop lights by distracted drivers, and twice in the driver’s side door while parked.Each time AC Auto has made it good as new. Truly. I keep my convertibles in new condition -cherry- for 10 years. If you don’t settle for just OK, you need to go to AC.

Best service, nice people, and fairly priced. My Jeep Grand Cherokee had multiple issues to be fixed and it now looks new. I had to use the car while being serviced, and they were very accommodating in making it usable to allow me to use it. It's my first time using AC Auto Body, but I will now use them always and I highly recommend them!
