I believe I have been servicing my vehicles now for at least 15 years at C&H in New Canaan. I have never once experienced disappointment or let down. This is one of those rare special gems of a shop. Anytime I have even a random question, I know I can call and get a prompt friendly response. Need advice...sure. Need a ride home...sure. Steve,Sean,Matt, Tim and their crew are always a pleasure to deal with. Prices completely out of proportion. I bought a set of 4 tires from Discount Tires Direct, which recommended this place for the installation. I called them and I was quoted $165 to install them ($41 each to put them on a rim and balance them - a 5-7 minute job, which would amount to $450 hourly - what you get charged by a lawyer) and $199 for the alignment, which typically goes for $95 in most of Fairfield County. I forgot: plus tax. Sorry, but I'm not spending $400 to mount 4 tires and I don't really care if New Canaan has the demographics that can afford to spend 2-3 times what others pay: we

I have been using C&H for the last five years (most recently June 2021) providing maintenance/service for a 2009 and 2011 Audi and could not wish for a better auto shop. Professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff combined with competitive pricing makes this my one and only stop for anything car related. Never have had a bad experience when leaving my car at C & H. They’re always very accommodating and very professional. I had a grinding noise when my car was shifting in between gears and I was dreading hearing what the issue was.
Within less than a day after dropping my car off I got a call saying it was a minor issue and there was basically no cost to fix it. Then was told I could come pick up the car whenever worked best for me.
I trust this business to do great work and not overcharge people just to make a few extra bucks. Can’t ask for much more than that.

I was driving up from Northern NJ to Boston when my exhaust broke a third of the trip in. Luckily, C&H wasn't far from where I was and the team took me in right away after I called in, and had the lift waiting for me when I arrived so they could inspect immediately. They patched up the damage for a very fair price and I was back on the roads in less than an hour. This is a state of the art establishment with the latest and newest equipment. Ive taken my BMW to other service centers where they struggle to remove my low profile tires and subsequently end up damaging them. Not here though! With the machines they have, I watched the mechanic remove the tire in 30 seconds flat! Very impressed by this place! They provide excellent service and are very professional in the work that they do! I give this place my highest recommendation!

I brought my 2011 Mercedes in for some check engine light issues related to the wheel sensors. Steve, the owner, told me that they charge $195 for diagnosing the problem, but that the diagnostic charge would be credited towards any repair. I paid the diagnostic fee and then brought the car back the next week once they provided an estimate and had received the parts. Once the repair was completed and I received the bill, I noticed the diagnostic fee had not been credited towards the cost of the repair. Steve went on a rambling explanation about how he sometimes will credit the diagnostic fee

Prompt, professional, pleasant to work with and very reasonable - we've referred friends, family, and wouldn't go anywhere else. We've been customers of C&H for more than 10 years and they've serviced at least 3 of our cars regularly. We've been customers of C & H for more than 15 years. They regularly service 4 of our cars. For oil changes and standard maintenance we schedule in advance but as we all know car problems come up suddenly. There have been times that we have had to stop in unannounced and C & H has even come to pick me up when I was stranded on the road, got stuck at a Girl Scout camp out (should not have brought the BMW with run flats)or had my truck undercarriage drop off after going over railroad tracks in town. Don't go here to have a flat repaired! My daughter had a soft tire and took it here for repairs. They found a nail in the tire and charged her $60 to repair the tire. When we questioned the charge (flat repairs usually run $15 to $20) we were told they had been around for years and always charged that much. Go somewhere else!

I trusted these guys to work on my exclusive Audi. First, they came highly recommended from several of my customers as well as Tire Rack.com. From the beginning to the end everything was top notch, all the latest equipment for high performance cars. I'm not usually a review person but I was compelled because of the outstanding experience I had. I had 4 tires installed and balanced, now because there were 19" if they weren't spot on you would feel it on the highway. Not a single issue and I have been around cars for 30 years. I came to C&H because I live in New Canaan and recently caused some damage to the sidewall on my front right tire. I was worried about driving on it because of some scary things I read online, so I wanted someone to look at it.
One of the employees (I didn't get his name, unfortunately) was very pleasant, and he explained how the damage on my tire was purely cosmetic. He had the opportunity to sell me a whole new set of tires, but he was honest about the damage not causing any safety issues, and I really appreciate how he saved me a lot of money. C&H has continued to service our cars, both new and old, with honesty and reliable service. Their automated email alerts remind us of pending maintenance requirements, scheduling an appointment has always been easy, and service provided on time and on price quoted.
