Services
At Carol Matheys Center for Children and Families, we have been educating young learners for over 45 years and are proud to supply the community with high quality, affordable child care, early childhood education and family support. We believe that all children are unique with individual development patterns, and each child will bring his or her own style, personality and background to our programs.
Our goal at Carol Matheys Center for Children and Families is to help all children prepare for Kindergarten. Children are given the opportunity to learn through creative play, music, crafts, science, math, technology, Spanish, American Sign Language and literacy. We teach children respect, responsibility and encourage independence.
Kindergarten will provide your child with a developmentally appropriate fun learning experience in a small class size environment. Our curriculum is designed to meet the MN Department of Education Kindergarten Standards. Readers Workshop and Math Expressions will be incorporated into the daily curriculum.
At Carol Matheys Center for Children and Families, we provide children grades Kindergarten through 5th grade a fun, safe place to be before and after school. Children enjoy games, computers, outdoors and being with friends in a fun, supervised environment. On non-school days and during the summer we offer full-day programs.
Because Carol Matheys Center for Children and Families is a 501 (3) (c) non-profit organization, our resources are limited. We LOVE Carol Matheys!! My son has been going to the school since he was 3 years old. He's now 6 and in their kindergarten program. The individual attention he gets in a small kindergarten class has helped him grow and learn so quickly! The teachers are so attentive and genuinely care about my family. The teachers and administration are open to feedback and respond quickly if I ever have a question or concern. My son has met so many wonderful friends and I've really enjoyed getting to know the other families. It is a close knit, warm and welcoming environment. I most definitely recommend Carol

My children attended Treasured Tykes, which is the infant and toddler program at Carol Mathey's (located on the north side of HWY 36). Treasured Tykes became a second home for both my children. The staff treated them with care individual to their needs. It is a safe, joyful, welcoming environment for my children. They use BabyConnect, an app that parents can use to find out info regarding their child's day (diapers, what they ate, how long they napped, pictures, etc). This also served as a great way for parents/staff to message each other if needed throughout the day. It was comforting to feel

My son learned and grew so much during his time at Carol Matheys, not only with education but also with his social skills. There is no doubt in my mind that he is ready for kindergarten.
The staff at Carol Matheys is great. They take the time to get to know and work with your child, only adding to the kids success.
