Home Inspections are a critical component of the real estate sales process. The agreement of sale is often contingent upon a satisfactory home inspection by a professional home inspector. Many buyers use the home inspection as a negotiating tool to lower the price and/or to have needed repairs completed prior to purchasing the home.
Smart sellers also hire home inspectors prior to listing their home so that they can obtain a heads-up on what buyers may insist get done prior to the purchase. This can allow the seller time to fix the problem themselves or find a less expensive solution without the time constraints of a pending home offer.

Chip did a very detailed inspection on the house I was purchasing. He found flaws under the house and inside that attic the needed addressing and also in the front bedroom. He pointed out the crawl space in the back corner was wet and the drainage needed to booked at. I would like to use him again soon.

Poor quality and unprofessional. He missed several easily identifiable signs of mold under the kitchen sink, around the cabinet trims, and inside the cabinets. After showing him the pictures and speaking with him, he didn't seem to care at all. This isn't to bad mouth the company, I just don't want anyone else to have to pay for a subpar inspection.

We had our home inspected in July was told it was a great buy and that everything worked fine... when we got in we found massive amounts of mold (i specifically asked about mold during my inspection) it's costed my family thousands of dollars and we are still suffering consequences from trusting the inspection.. mold was so severe sub flooring walls and insulation had to be torn out and replaced when I asked chip about it the only "solution" I was offered was to pay for a mold test because he said it wasn't the harmful mold.. we weren't made aware that there was no ventilation in the home that

Chip is a true professional. He showed up on time to do the inspection of the home we were planning to buy, with everything he needed. He was very thorough, knowledgeable, and meticulous in performing the inspection, including an extensive crawl through a very low crawlspace. Two days later, he emailed me a comprehensive report that included color photos of the problem areas he identified. His report was a valuable tool for negotiating with the seller to do needed repairs before closing. He also charged the lowest rate of all the local home inspectors. You can't go wrong by hiring him to inspect

Nothing but great things to say about this man. Chip went step by step through the house and showed me both the good and bad. Chip also provided information on potential issues with both near term and long term maintenance. Very reasonable prices too. I would definitely recommend Chip for your home inspection.
