At Barre Family Child Care, our goal is to be a home away from home for your children. Owned by Khadija Barre, a mother of four with a degree in early childhood education, this home-based neighborhood licensed child care center has been located in North Cambridge since 2007. Khadija has worked in the child care field for 20 years and run her own business for the past 12.
She is fully licensed and certified by the State of Massachusetts' Department of Early Education and Care. She is also a former member of the City of Cambridge's Early Childhood Task Force, which worked to improve early education and care throughout the city.

Services
Our curriculum includes a variety of daily activities designed to help your children grow cognitively, behaviorally, socially and emotionally. We visit the local library for sing-alongs, we take walks to local parks and we attend occasional play groups at a nearby school. We teach our children to respect one another, recognize personal boundaries and apologize if they've hurt someone.
Yes, all of our staff members are qualified in CPR and first aid, and regularly renew their certifications. We are committed to helping your children grow cognitively, behaviorally, socially and emotionally. Our curriculum includes activities that help children develop their language, motor and cognitive skills.
