Upscale Italian eatery where floor-to-ceiling windows & a large deck provide dramatic lake views. Casual American restaurant offers live music, sports on TV & a patio overlooking the lake. When we were seven years old, we started helping out: mopping floors, peeling potatoes, washing dishes, says Lou Lanzi.

When we were seven years old, we started helping out: mopping floors, peeling potatoes, washing dishes, says Lou Lanzi. My parents always said, 'A little work will never hurt you.' That simple approach has carried four generations of Lanzi's to success in the restaurant business. My father had just opened up Lorenzo's, and he wanted something unique to draw people in.

Nice bar owned by the Lanzi family. They also own and operate The Sport Island Pub, Lakeside Tavern and Lanzis on the Lake. This is a casual homey bar that seems to have a good local following. The staff were extremely courteous. They have a nice selection of draft beer including their own GSL ipa The menu is typical bar fare with some nice additions. They also had chicken and biscuits along with meatloaf as specials. The food was very good. We will be back.

Last month my boyfriend and I ate here for a quick dinner since we were in town for some business. The reviews were promising, but none of them warned us about three key issues he and I had major problems with.
I'll start with noting that the anesthetics of this place aren't particularly appealing. It has the appearance and atmosphere of an old diner/dinner-hall with dated chairs. When we arrived it was after 6pm on a Monday and the place was pretty much empty with the exception of two people occupying the main dining area and one or two patrons at the bar. We were seated almost immediately.
