Annual eye and vision examinations are an important part of preventive health care. Many eye and vision problems have no obvious signs or symptoms. As a result, individuals are often unaware that problems exist. Early diagnosis and treatment of eye and vision problems are important for maintaining good vision and eye health, and when possible, preventing vision loss.
Born in Taiwan, Dr. Yang immigrated as a child to Argentina with his family. He moved to Southern California at the age of 18 to pursue his college education. Dr. Yang earned a B.S. in business and information systems from the California State Polytechnic University in Pomona and went on to receive his doctorate in optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2006.
V was born in San Francisco and has spent a majority of her childhood in the Bay Area. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine in 2010. Some of the highlights of her undergraduate experience were studying abroad in Japan, driving the shuttle buses, and volunteering at an Indian Reservation.
Lorie started her optical career in 1988 and has been a licensed optician since 1990. In 1994, Lorie began her journey in optical retail management. Her focus since then has been to develop herself and the leaders around her to far surpass organizational expectations as well as those of their patients.

I always get nervous at eye care places because it’s expensive and I don’t know much about it. Never needed glasses until I turned 40 and they really took care of me. I’ve been there three times now and every time the staff is as pleasant and helpful as the last.
They even helped me fix up my old glasses and sunglasses which were bent.
I recommend them to everyone. My mom and wife are now customers too!

I had my eye exam for my glasses, then was asked would you like to do your contact exam as well? I didn't see why not so I did. Then it comes to picking glasses. I requested a very specific kind and they had to order it. I said that's fine.
Now the kicker.
I got charged 100 bucks for the contact exam because they failed to inform me that it was extra. Then on top of that I got a phone call that said we have good news and bad news. The new glasses are in and look cool.
The bad news is that we need you to pay another 173 dollars for them.
They tried to half it but I had already paid 360 dollars

I'm very satisfied with the service I received from all the staff at bakersfield eye care. The new prescription of contacts I am now wearing is spot on and I couldn't be happier with it. I had some insurance issues at the time of my appt but after I came home and got to the bottom of things I called them back and updated them and not even 2 days later they called and fixed the problem. Ran everything through my insurance and are refunding me the rest and ordered my contacts right away. Thank you again to the staff at the northwest office. I really appreciate it.

This by far has been the greatest optometry office's I have been to. I was greeted by everyone as soon as I opened the door. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The office has relaxing yet professional type vibe to it and the cleanliness of the office was fantastic. They also provide coffee and water as you wait.
Prior to my appointment I had spoke with George and gave him examples of the types of style/glasses I was looking for. When I arrived he greeted me at the door and let me know who he was and that he'd be helping me. He literally had about ten pairs for me to try on. As

It is rare these days to find good customer service, but this establishment has great customer service. The entire office staff were so friendly and kind! I am so happy I tried this place out! The glasses I picked out felt like such great quality! I am really happy with how the exam went, how I was treated, and my purchase. I will definitely be back next year!

By far the best eye care visit I've ever been too. I was greeted very nicely and taken care of by Mark at the front desk, and Dr. Yang was very professional and knowledgeable. The office was very clean and trendy. I also love that you can download their app to fill out your paperwork before coming in and make appointments from there too. Definitely A+ service that I would recommend to anyone. Great atmosphere and friendly!

Love this place! They are very friendly, attentive, and caring. All of the staff is very knowledgeable and you get the sense they really care about your eye health and general health. The staff goes above and beyond in making you feel comfortable and making sure you understand everything. I was so pleasantly surprised with how easy they made everything: from making the appointment to picking out glasses. A++++ My new favorite doctor and staff!!!
