Lived there for 4 years, old apartment, outdated old appliances, heat is too high in the winter, you feel like passing out because it gets 80+ and you cannot control the thermostat. Left the apartment spotless and they still kept almost $200 of my deposit. Neighbor tenants are good and management does respond quickly, but definitely not worth the money.

The apartment was pretty nice and the neighborhood was excellent. I would definitely recommend if you have children as there are parks and schools in walking distance and it’s a quiet, safe area.
They kept the pool area very clean but were really strict on hours and pool visiting restrictions which were kind of annoying.
They also started doing construction on the balcony above ours with no warning, they moved all of our patio furniture without permission, my outdoor plants got covered in concrete dust, and I worked nights at the time so they ALWAYS woke me up with the construction.

I have read some of these bad reviews, and just want to state that I have lived in this complex for 10 years and have been perfectly happy with everything! Management is professional and efficient, maintenance repairs nearly immediately when something needs done! Someone says there are roaches, there is not one I’ve ever seen in my apartment in 10 years here! Apparently these people that are writing reviews such as this are not very good tenants and maybe caused issues for themselves while living here. How sad. I would recommend Barberry apartments and have referred many people over the past

By far the WORST experience I’ve ever had with any Apartment! Management is horrible Jenny is RACIST rude and unprofessional! She will not care about you as a tenant, she’s nice when showing you the property just to get you to move in but after that she’ll show you her true colors. my apartment was falling apart from the time I moved in until the time I moved out! The glob from my ceiling fan fell down & broke on top of my kitchen table & glass was everywhere. Months later my entire medicine cabinet/ Mirror fell off the wall in the bathroom & glass was every where the mirror fell into the

Definitely do not recommend at all. Spent two years living there and it's tempting because of the location and price but not worth it at all. Severely out dated units, laundry rooms are disgusting and expensive,train tracks and trashy bar that are right by that are loud and last but not least poor management. Paid to have my carpets cleaned before I moved out and still charged over 100 dollars by this place. Really not worth the money to deal with the head aches of this place.

First of all, get your rate in writing. They changed mine between the time I looked at the place and the time I signed the lease (about two weeks later). By then I was already committed.
They will charge you to change all carpeting on your way out, whether or not it was dirty, just so they can tell people it's new carpeting when they show the place to the next sucker.
Complaints and issues will be ignored most times. I called them about one issue five times and they never responded. I also had a bad thermostat for several days. The maintenance guy finally
