Roach infestation inside buildings. Mice within the walls. No parking at night. Cars constantly being broken into and they refuse to do anything about it like put up cameras. Work orders are ignored or refused if repairs are too costly. Does not rske leaves or plow snow fully so tenants can park. Tennis court has been left to rot. Apartments extremely out of date and management refuses to update them. Management is rude and unprofessional.
DO NOT MOVE HERE.

I’ve been here 2 years now. You can NEVER reach anyone on the phone! They have increased rent each year, no unit updates on cabinetry or appliances, they have cut security and downgraded the trash service since I’ve been here but started charging us for it, and now neither dryer works in my building and wouldn’t even put up an out of order sign after I put in a maintenance request, was told it was fixed, now I just wasted $ again. I will not be renewing another lease here.

Don’t be fooled by anyone here! Especially the “manager” DAVE! The leasing office is updated but the rest of the buildings are extremely outdated! All the “positive” reviews listed on Tanglewood are FAKE! This place has the most rude and unprofessional staff. It’s completely overpriced and there is NEVER any parking (yet as a tenant, you are REQUIRED to pay for a parking sticker). Not too mention, cars are frequently broken into (and staff has done nothing about this). The buildings have mice and other bugs!!! I often hear gunshots at night and most of the time, Hammond PD never responds

Cars are frequently broken into and management refuses to do anything about it. Everytime you call them about concerns and voice how the whole complex wants cameras put up because we don't feel safe they keep differing to " there's talks installing cameras but there's no telling when that'll be". They've been running that same script for years. It doesn't take that long to procure cameras.. I've had my car broken into 3 times. Other neighbors hear have also have their cars broken into or vandalized.
Apartments are also outdated and need major upgrades.

I hate to even give one star. I rented this apartment living on my own for the first time in years. After moving in started experiencing bug problems coming under my front door and in my bedroom window called maintenance waited a week and never anyone came, eventually i had to bug proof myself in order to be comfortable. After being there one month my health problems got worse couldn't climb the stairs had to move back with my family. I was only able to come to my apartment two days out the month. I explained this to David (management) they had no problems because I still paid my rent on time monthly

This is the most disgusting place that I have ever lived. Aside from the apartments being outdated, the hallway carpets hardly ever being cleaned, and virtually no security measures in place where tenants are safe (anyone can walk into any of the apartment buildings, no cameras, no security guards) they genuinely do not care about the residents, as they claim they do. I actually had an employee in the leasing office tell me that it is my problem that another, male tenant is harassing and threatening me. Then, turn around and contact him and give him a heads up that I went to the office and inquired

I am writing this review soley because I have to truly recognize the new maintenance manager HARVEY for his professionalism and skills to fix any problems I have had since living at Tanglewood going into 8 years for me now. Harvey always makes sure to gdt the job done expeditiously and right the first time he has to work on anything and as a long time resident here at Tanglewood its most certainly a very welcomed addition much much better than what we had before. Great job on getting Maintenance that actually cares about maintaining!

When I first moved in the apartment was dirty. The refrigerator was nasty and had to be cleaned out. The shower was nasty and had to be scrubbed. The only thing that appeared clean was the carpet. I lived there for a little bit over a year. the best description is HORRIBLE. I hated it. everything is outdated and just disgusting. The tile in the bathroom is cracked and lifted from the floor. maintenance fixes things on their timing. there is no central air. The kitchen cabinets remind me of the wood that's ants crawl in. I wouldn't recommend a homeless bum to live here. there is always

I been here for almost three years my building is quiet but the matience staff sucks nothing get fix right sinks stay stopped up patio door and screen broke been asking for repair for two years ac don't work right very hot in summer I'm on 3 Rd floor this complex needs to be updated they good with the outside up keep to get you in only the parking sucks nowhere to park mice in the building and spiders staff is nice so don't be fooled

I enjoy my apartment except for a few issues. When I did the walk through, I noted a few things such as a crusty stain on the bedroom carpet that looked like blood. Someone from maintenance marked it on the form as "ok" and didn't fix or replace the carpet. Not ok. Also on top of the kitchen cabinets there was about 20 years worth of duct and gunk which made me ill. Who would climb up there and check that? Also my toilet has been leaking for the last few hours and I just noticed and it's 415 on a Friday. I called the office and they said that "maintenance has left for the

I have lived here for almost a year. The staff is very friendly and the complex feels safe. I've had a couple of maintenance issues, slow drain in the shower and an outlet didn't work. When I called the office the maintenance men were knocking on the door within minutes. Price is high but average for the area. I do recommend the Tanglewood Apartments.

I wish that I could give this complex no star. They are all about just collecting money and not fixing any appliance issues or the upkeep of the complex. There are homeless people hiding out in the buildings, people hanging out in the hallways who are always loud and obnoxious, and the parking is completely unreasonable! They will tow your car and issue 2 tickets to you for parking in certain areas WHEN YOU LIVE IN THE COMPLEX. You should be allowed to park in front of your building or at least in a guest parking area if you are paying rent. This place sucks and the apartments are not worth the
