With addiction rates on the rise, it can be overwhelming trying to decide where to get help for you or your loved one. There are more treatment centers around now than ever before, yet many people are not finding true recovery from their addictions. We believe this is because they fail to address important factors that are essential when seeking freedom from an addiction.
We provide individual psychotherapy that borrows from counseling orientations such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and interpersonal process therapy (IPT). Biblical principles will also be incorporated into individual sessions to create a strong spiritual foundation and help clients re-establish a relationship with God in their recovery.
While drugs can temporarily make you feel good and make it easier to have fun, they can also negatively impact your life. Your family relationships, friendships, finances, social life, and career will all be impacted by a drug addiction, and a lot of people find their lives collapsing around them when they let their addiction control them for too long.
Alcohol addiction has always been a common affliction for humans. Since the discovery of fermented grapes/wheat and its intoxicating effect on the human brain, alcohol has been at the center of controversy, legislation, and ethics in human society. Due to its addictive potential, many people have developed a destructive relationship with alcohol that has destroyed families, finances, jobs, and personal health.
Dealing with addiction can be hard enough, let alone when you're struggling with something very personal, like pornography. Although porn is legal and acceptable in today's society, its effects on the human brain, relationships, and sexuality are not fully understood. Research is finding that porn has many similarities to drugs in activating the pleasure centers of the brain which hardwire addictive behavior.
