Identifying and treating movement restrictions provides the body with the best opportunity to heal itself. Learn more about our unique treatment philosophy. We offer 1 on 1 treatments in our Bellingham location & specialize in the treatment of adults and children.

Can't make it to the office? We have nationwide screen-share PT consultations. Check out our on-line classes to improve posture, breathing, and shoulder strength. Services
Founded in 2004 by Ed and Elizabeth Deboo, PT's, Integrative Physical Therapy Services is Bellingham & Whatcom County's choice for Structural Manual Therapy. What is Structural Manual Therapy? Structural Manual Therapy can be very effective in the treatment of chronic pain, repetitive stress injuries, tendon and ligament damage, back and neck pain, and to also reduce muscle compensation patterns.
Ed Deboo, PT offers on-line classes on Udemy.com. These classes are self paced and can be started at any time. We currently offer 2 classes, each with a different focus. One class will focus primarily on Shoulder strength, flexibility, and trigger point work to decrease pain and improve function. Join Ed's Udemy class and learn about 6 components of shoulder health including posture, stretching, strengthening, and trigger point release!
Integrative Physical Therapy of Bellingham has a YouTube channel, Front Row with Ed and Elizabeth!. Since we have over 150 self help videos, we have you covered from head to toe. Video topics include how to self-treat headaches, neck and shoulder pain, improve your posture, learn to foam roll for hip and knee pain, and treat your cuboid for foot pain.
We have all experienced acute musculoskeletal pain (pain from joints or muscles) at some point in our lives. Most of these are minor injuries that heal quickly and respond well to rest, ice, and over the counter medications and do not need much medical intervention. However, if the pain persists for over 2-3 months, it is classified as chronic pain.
I have seen both Ed and Elizabeth and they are both beyond effective, each in their own way. Over the years Ed has gotten me out of pain and patterns that have locked into my body-frozen shoulders, a constantly clutched periformis, neck jams and more. Concurrently he explains what is going on in the body which is very empowering.

I found Ed and Integrative Physical Therapy Services through Geoffrey & Maria Knight my Pilates instructors. I had chronic joint pain and through Ed feel like I got my aging body back to good working order. Ed's knowledge and well-named integrative therapy techniques are a resource I would not want to do without - ever! He has helped me manage too much time in my desk chair to write this book.

I have seen both Ed and Elizabeth-- Ed for over 10 years for PT for a variety of issues including frozen shoulder and hip issues as well as neck stiffness and pain; Elizabeth for energy work. They listen well and give positive feedback and make suggestions for my overall health and well-being, not just for the problem that I came in for. I recommend them both very highly!--Ellen

I am one of many in Bellingham who consider Ed Deboo to be our go-to PT when we need an assessment of some new ache or pain and/or a set of effective exercises or practices that we can do at home to keep fit or get over an injury. He is a good listener and individually tailors his recommendations. His office is comfortable and private. He does not bill insurance. He does do electronic scheduling, billing, and receipts.

I was in a car crash in 2013. With the help of Ed and Leah I was able to recognize what I can do to improve my tissue sensitivity, increase my strength & improve my posture. By actually doing the exercises my physical health has improved. I watch Ed's videos fairly regularly & many have been timely & helpful. Understanding how my body works & working it, has helped me to treat it better, thanks Ed & Leah!!

Ed DeBoo is patient, thorough, and highly skilled. After an appointment with him I always leave feeling great relief from pain and discomfort. He clearly explains how muscles, bones and tissues work, what's out of alignment, what he's doing with each step of treatment, and what I can do to maintain and improve on the progress made in the office. The homework is so important! Ed provides exercises that are clearly diagrammed and well explained. I happily recommend Integrative Physical Therapy to anyone who wants to feel better, and gain a better understanding of how their body works, and what to

I have seen both Ed and Elizabeth and they are both beyond effective, each in their own way. Over the years Ed has gotten me out of pain and patterns that have locked into my body--frozen shoulders, a constantly clutched periformis, neck jams and more... The great thing about seeing Ed is that he spends the appointment hands on and it is like getting an osteopathic treatment...or like the most educated of massages. Concurrently he explains what is going on in the body which is very empowering. He always gives really targeted and effective home exercises that I feel motivated to do because of his

Ed is the third physical therapist I've seen for a knee problem. While the first two definitely helped, Ed has been able to add new insights, and my knee function is steadily improving. I look forward to working with Ed on my shoulder.
Check out Ed's videos on youtube! There's so much we can do to maintain good health.

Ed is the best physical therapist that I have worked with over the years. He has been able to help me and get to the root of the problem as no other. I have learned a lot from him as he is able to pass on his knowledge in a simple, understandable manner. I like that he doesn't just treat one body part as all the parts are connected and one can affect another. He is kind, personable and has a great sense of humor! He encourages me over and over in different ways to get the best result by doing my home exercises and stretches as faithfully and consistently as I can. He is understanding when I fall
