I don't run a bankruptcy factory or a national law firm. When you come to my office, I talk with you personally and spend 2-6 hours to prepare and submit your case. I am able to do this because my office doesn't advertise to get thousands of cases and then hand you over to a paralegal while we're on vacation in France.
For over 30 years, I prepared thousands of successful bankruptcy cases for our Louisville Kentucky Bankruptcy Court. First, I personally prepare each case, and then, meet with you to make sure it is perfect. I never hand you over to a paralegal. What's more, people often come into our office feeling the needless emotions of fear, shame, blame, and guilt over overwhelming debt.
Bankruptcy is the forgiveness of debt and the planning of a new budget. After filing bankruptcy, debt collectors are barred from collection temporarily by the stay. The stay is a temporary court order which only lasts while the case is open. If you do not maintain insurance and payments on a car or home during your case, a creditor may file a motion to terminate the stay and foreclose.
There are a few basics everyone needs to know if you are considering filing a Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy in Kentucky. First, plan on taking credit counseling before you file and a debtor education course after you file. Next, learn about the means test and how to qualify for Chapter 7. Then, you must design a budget whether you file Chapter 7 or 13.

Nick and his team are prompt to return calls, they work after-hours to make sure your case is handled. Nick and his lovely assistant Toni are the best there is. They always get me in right away. Respond to emails within minutes, take calls on the weekends and have made this process so easy.
