Although she was born in Canada, Dr. Maria Auerbach was raised in Southern California since was she was 3 years of age. She has been practicing in the Hancock Park area since 1992, when she joined the ophthalmology practice of Dr. Douglas L. Steel on Larchmont. In 1995, Dr. Auerbach "hung her shingle" on the private practice today known as Larchmont Optometrics, Inc.
Comprehensive Eye Exams - Following the standards and procedures of the California State Board Optometry, your eye exam will include the measurement of your prescription (refraction) and comprehensive examination of the health of your eyes including glaucoma testing and dilated exam of the back of the eye.
We invite you to visit our optical department. No appointment necessary. We carry over 1000 frames & sunglasses from the latest designers such as Oliver Peoples, Prada, Dolce Gabbana, Tom Ford, Celine and DITA to name a few. I been a client for almost 10 years and everything was ok until last year when I got my prescription they did a less quality glasses because the COVID I couldn't get an appointment for few months when I finally got it they say after I get my new prescription they'll take care of the bad one.
Finally I got my new prescription and now they don't want to do anything about!!
They decreased the quality and increase the prices!
DO NOT GO BACK TO THIS PLACE!!

I freakin' love this office and the optometrist i had. Firstly, the ladies at Larchmont Optometrics are SO SWEET - they remind me of my abuela with how kind and sweet they are. in addition, my optometrist was SO SWEET and she was very attentive with my concerns - her attention to detail is awesome. I also purchased a new pair of glasses and the ladies were so patient with me. also, had my appt during the beginning of COVID and they had all the appropriate measures in place to ensure customers were safe! definitely recommend!

Aquilla Houston sounds like an idiot, why would you call the police because your glasses take a while? She probably had a custom order (like mine were), needed special lenses, wanted frames that weren't in-stock or something that takes time to fulfill. Seriously, ignore that ignoramus. This place is great. Great service, great people, great everything. Nothing but positive experiences so far and I've gotten both glasses and contacts there.

I've been going there for 3 years, and the first time was excellent, since then, management has changed hands, and they gave me an old pair of glasses for new, and now I'm being told it takes 2 week's to get glasses, while my son received his glasses in 3 days ! I even had to almost call the police during my last experience. I'M PRAYING FOR A CHANGE.
