All I can say is awesome! From start to finish, excellent customer service from the receptionist to the optician to Dr. Panzar! Dr. Panzar educated me on eye health and made therapeutic recommendations I’ll be incorporating into my lifestyle. And to put the “cherry on top”, I received one of my pair of glasses the same day!! Wow! Never heard of - for me! Awesome variety of frames …. Just awesome, awesome, awesome!! My visit and the customer service received today contributed to my good day today !!! Thank you.

2 years of severe eye issues, 3 eye doctors and specialists, was told that dry eye was chronic and nothing to do except use eye drops daily, two different prescriptions for glasses, several eye drops prescriptions, morning blurred vision, told to go off birth control and increase my Omega3 vitamins, scratchy burning sandy eyes.
Today i drove 3… hours to Houston and saw Dr. Alan Panzer at Houston Dry Eye Clinic where he gave me a proper diagnosis in less than 10 minutes. He told me that my eyes looked awesome and that I dont have Dry Eyes and that is why nothing i had tried ever worked. He

Dr Panzer is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, finally someone who actually treat the cause of my dry eye issue, two other eye doctors addressed symptoms not getting to the cause of the issues. He was thorough and informative. I highly recommend him and am extremely happy I finally can open my eyes without issues... finally!!!

Wonderful experience! I was recommended to this eye clinic by another Opthalmologist. The staff and Dr. Panzer made sure I got the best prescription for my eyes and took their time to do it. Also, helped me to see what would not only be the best quality but also what would work best for my dollar. Highly recommended!

I made an appointment on Monday for eye exam for Friday at noon. I told them my eye was bothering me so I needed that checked out. I asked them how long it took for an eye exam because I needed to leave in time to pick up my kids. They told me eye exams are usually 15-30 minutes. Now it's Friday, I get there at noon and wait in the reception area. I am the only customer there. First it takes them a while to even acknowledge I am there and they gave me paperwork which I returned completed after one minute. Then I sit and wait. 20 minutes go by and the receptionist doesn't say anything

I had a very negative experience at this Clinic due to the fact that Panzer (an "optometrist") misdiagnosed my Dry Eye as stemming from Meibomian Gland Disease. (What I learned by later seeing an "opthamologist" was that I actually had Blepharitis which was causing my Dry Eye.) Anyways, I wasted a LOT of money on Panzer's painful "IPL" treatments and $60 "testosterone" drops which either aggravated my eye condition or did nothing. There were other problematic issues that I encountered at his practice which I won't write about here but feel

Dr. Allen is the best! My team and I came to Houston for a medical conference this past weekend. My mom was having some eye problems, and he opened his office after hours to get her taken care of. He got her contacts and made her glasses that evening. He was a great eye doctor and really cares about his patients! :)

If you care about your vision enough to get the most correction for your vision, make no mistake, Dr. Panzer is the best! I have many different problems with my vision; near and far sighted, astigmatism and Karatoconis (or however it’s spelled). Dr. Panzer has corrected my vision better than any doc I have ever seen, pardon the pun! 5 Stars are not enough!

Although I haven't been evaluated by Dr. Panzer in person, he took quite a bit of time, multiple times to speak with me about the infection in my eyes. Not many medical professionals make time to give patients their undivided attention for more than a few minutes, so I greatly appreciate Dr. Panzer's time and knowledge.

Dr. Panzer has been my Optometrist for over 5 yrs now... And I have seen many in my life, I can finally stop looking! Dr. Panzer will tell it like it is and not BS you. Straight diagnosis and goes through your options. I have scleral like lenses and they have changed my life! If you have keratoconus and can't see well... stop wasting time and schedule an appointment?

A year ago I went there with high expectations to find out that Dr Allan does not have experience with contact lenses after a PRK surgery. He tried to put me in the newest soft contact lenses which surprised me since soft lenses never worked for me. He seems frustrated when he realized that it didn't work at all. I felt uncomfortable with his attitude and decided to moved on after paying the $429 and the only thing I got was a prescription for glasses. I finally found The Diagnostic Eye Center, which is an office with great doctors that were able to put me in the right contact lenses and

The reason for the negative review is echoed in many of the other reviews. I was sad to not have a good experience here after researching him on Angie's list. While I was at the visit, I felt very overpowered by Dr. Panzer's highly opinionated comments and when I asked questions I felt like I was being steered toward one direction. I would have appreciated if the pros and cons of the treatment were given equal weight and the decision for treatment was left up to me. Not only that, but I felt personally attacked as he made several negative comments about my profession.
