Main Street Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary facility specializing in the health care of companion dogs and cats. With the use of the latest techniques in veterinary medicine, our highly trained staff provides complete medical and surgical care for all your pets. Our philosophy is to work with our clients to keep their animals healthy, through regular preventive care, which avoids many potentially serious problems.
Your pet is an important part of your family, and when he or she is ill, you want the best medical care available. Our wellness and vaccination programs are designed to prevent disease and prolong the lives of your companion animals. Our knowledgeable staff and our facilities allow us to deal with a variety of medical conditions your pet may experience.
Although we don't not have an on-site boarding facility, we can gladly offer you boarding and daycare services though our sister clinic Wignall Animal Hospital. Camp Wignall is a fully equipped, air conditioned/heated state of the art boarding facility with a full medical staff on duty every day. Outdoor camp activities take place in our secure fenced/gated play space which is always fully staffed.
In order to maintain our high standard of service, we require that payment be made at the time services are rendered. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges. Main Street Animal Hospital is happy to accept Cash, Check, Major Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover), Scratchpay, and CareCredit.
We transferred from Bulger because we could not get in for sick visits for weeks. The receptionist at Main Street Animal Hospital was so kind and helpful when I called for new appt. The vet ran on time for our first appt and was very thorough. We are so happy we switched. My experience with Dr. Martin at Main Street Animal Hospital has been very positive.

Recently got our new baby on Veterans Day. Everywhere so busy needed to get in within the 14 days window for our baby 🐕 warranty. Main Street Animal Hospital Donna was a delight to help get us in. Been back for follow-up shots and they were extremely accommodating to see us before our appointment time because we had a last minute appointment elsewhere to be. This place is a 5 ⭐✨⭐ with extra puppy treats. Thank you to a great Staff and Doctor.

I was looking around for a first time vet for my 2 young puppies and had a couple of questions I needed answered right away and the lady i spoke with, I believe her name was Amanda gave me exceptional service. The Staff of Main St. Animal Hospital needs to be commended for the level of compassion and professionalism of service given. I recently brought my cat baby Gabbi that was very, very sick to Main St. Animal Hospital. Dr. Grambow was so thorough during her examination explaining in detail her status giving me options but ultimately knowing what I had to do. The AMAZING staff sent Gabbi off to Rainbow Bridge with no pain and lots of love!!! That is all a owner could ask for. Today I received a sympathy card in the mail from the staff; another class act!

Nothing but amazing things to say about this place! Everyone was so kind and sweet. I took my pup here to get fixed and to get a microchip and they really made the process so easy even the paperwork afterwards. On top of that they even cut his nails for me. I even got a follow up call today to check up on my pup. I would give this place 10 ⭐️ if I could!! I couldn’t thank them enough. Plus my pup loved them and that alone says it all !!! I drove up from Boston because this was the only place that would honor a free wellness visit that I received from the shelter that I adopted my dog from. It was well worth the drive! Everyone that I spoke to was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. They made it very easy to understand all the vaccines that Leo needed, and they listened to each of my concerns. Dr. Grambow was amazing to talk to, and so knowledgeable. She made me feel at ease in regards to each of the concerns I relayed. I would highly recommend you go here if you're looking for a great vet hospital!

We've been using Main St for many years, through several dogs and cats. The staff is very friendly, and Dr Martin is very compassionate and is a skilled vet.
I'm glad they have held out and have not been bought by the conglomerate corporate vet that seems to be in it for one reason only, the bottom line.
It may be a little more money for some services, but you get what you pay for.

I had an amazing experience at Main Street Animal Hospital. The only reason I'm not giving it the full 5/5 is because they are a little pricey and the manager I dealt with was kind of rude (see side note). But the entire staff is incredible! My cat went in with really severe blocking and his case was strange compared to other cats so everything was complicated. But the vets that worked with him were very knowledgeable and were sure to explain everything to us in detail. The technicians that worked with him were so friendly and attentive, they took my cat in like he was their own and were very

When we initially moved to NH we saw the Salem Animal Hospital was right down the road but it had relatively poor reviews and being right next to a mall we decided to go with Main Street which was a little farther but excellent reviews.
The staff couldn't be friendlier and Dr. Martin is wonderful. We have been fortunate in that our dog has mostly only needed routine checkups, but a few times there were minor concerns with our pup they were a great resource.

I've been taking my small dog to Main Street for over 10 years and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Dr. Martin and his entire staff are friendly,caring and very competent. All my questions are always answered and phone calls always returned in a timely manner. When my dog had surgery and was upset while coming out of the anesthesia one of the techs layed down with him to calm him down. Going to the vet is stressful for most animals but the staff at Main Street go out of their way to make it as enjoyable as possible.

Great hospital. They care deeply for the animals that come in, whether as an emergency or routine check up, and they do what they can to help their clients through tough decisions. The employees are nice and the doctors are competent. I've heard the prices are slightly higher than elsewhere, but for the level of care and respect my pets receive, it's well worth it. I'm more than willing to make the hour drive to get there.
