Cara did an incredible job and made sure I understood everything she was doing and why she was doing it, which is sometimes rare. She made me feel extremely comfortable and was so detailed and meticulous in her work. She also gave me tips for how to style my hair at home so I could try to replicate the style myself. Honestly one of the best haircuts of my life and I tend to be pretty picky, 10/10!

The establishment was classic and cool. The staff was warm and welcoming. Cara was not at all fazed by my unruly locks, in fact I could immediately tell that she had vast expertise, especially with curls.

Cara is amazing!! I have tried all the top salons in Milwaukee trying to find a stylist that could do the exact icy bleach blond I have been desiring AND be able to do an amazing haircut AND who actually listens to what I'm asking for AND completes it all in a timely manner. I know, I am high maintenance. AND THEN I FOUND CARA!!!! She does it all! She listened and worked with me until we found the perfect color that I love (I get so many compliments too). Cara is AMAZING! Not only is she funny, but she’s super attentive and captured what I wanted exactly, down to the finest hair. She honored what I wanted, as I showed her a picture. So exciting to find a hair stylist who specializes in curls! Cara made me feel comfortable and gave me a wonderful cut, along with tips on how to easily air dry my curls at home.
It’s worth mentioning that my hair is not super curly—more of a loose wave pattern—and I appreciated that she was knowledgeable and excited to work with the texture I have. Really cool woman.

I have been seeing Matt for over 7 years and followed him when he moved to his own salon! Matt's work is amazing. Every cut and color I have had come out perfect! From the moment I called to schedule an appointment to how kind and professional the staff treated me was a FABULOUS experience. Especially my stylist Cara! I am in Milwaukee on business and my hair badly needed some TLC. I had called a different ‘highly rated’ downtown salon and was treated with disregard and felt unimportant. So I called THE COLLECTIVE and instantly felt welcome and comfortable. Cara is a powerhouse of knowledge and ideas! Cara has been my hairdresser for over 20 years and, each and every time I get my hair done, I leave happier and more excited than the previous time. She is creative, professional, fun and focused on making her clients happy. She does amazing color and her styling is fantastic. I go in each time with no direction of my own to offer and always love the results! I’ve followed her from Austin to Houston and, if I have to, will follow her to Milwaukee.
