Unlike a vision screening or other general eye test, comprehensive eye exams evaluate the entire health of the eye. They also help the optometrist or ophthalmologist determine your unique prescription. Comprehensive eye exams should begin as an infant to ensure proper eye and vision development. Ongoing eye health examinations at regular intervals are also important as many eye diseases and vision changes can occur without warning signs.
Eyes are the organs of vision. Through a complex process, they detect and focus light to create images. Vision begins when light rays are reflected off of an object and enters the eye through the cornea and then pupil. It then passes through the crystalline lens which refracts light to be focused on the retina.

Absolutely the worst when it comes to communicating. I "WAS" a client for 3 years and in the course they didn't alert me when my eyeglasses came in until I call after 3 weeks. They didn't alert me again the next year when my eyeglasses came in.
The top breaking point was when I called the morning of November 22 to get an appointment. Confirmed a 2pm one. Rearranged my own client list for the day. I'm a celebrity hairstylist with my own clients to have to change. I drove 1 hour from my home to be told they don't have me on the books.
That was it for me. Never never

Most I have ever spent on glasses. The non-glare coating is a scam. Starts to rub off within a month. On top of that my prescription was off, I have had glasses for over 20 years, I know when they are wrong. Very little care taken from the doctor, felt like he was in a rush to get to lunch or golf tee time. The secretary was the only reassuring person in the building. If it were a different doctor I would go back just for her.

This experience was the WORST I've ever had with an eye doctor. I went for an appointment in December for a contact lens evaluation and eye exam. I ended up having to go back to the doctor 4-5 times because no matter what, one of my eyes was still blurry. I felt rushed, unlistened to, and generally brushed off. Even after several times visiting, follow up only on my part, I never received a prescription. I eventually ended up having to go and pay for another eye exam somewhere else because I wasn't getting anywhere with this place. Within 5 minutes of my eye exam with the other doctor

I've had the pleasure of getting a few exams done here. The staff is always helpful and courteous and Dr. Jacobs is one of the best Optometrist I've seen. Given that I've worn glasses since I was three years old, that's saying something! Highly recommend Eye See Optometry for those who need vision care.

First time in today to see Dr Jacobs. My experience was pleasant and was consistent with the kindness and professionalism I received from Daniel prior to my visit. I left feeling very good about my overall visit. Dr. Jacobs was knowledgeable and helped my overall eye health as well as helped me to become aware of the harmful over the counter products I was using for my eyes prior to my visit (mostly for allergies). I look forward to my next visit.

I've been coming to see Dr. Jacobs for years and it is always such a pleasant experience. He is knowledgeable, patient and always welcoming. His staff is also very professional and friendly, and can help you with deciding on new glasses with ease. I would recommend this practice for all your optometric needs.

This is the first optometrist I have ever seen and it was a pleasant experience from start to finish. The doctor is very professional and very thorough with his assessments. The lovely receptionist helped me pick out a gorgeous Tom Ford lens that I know I will love for a very long time. I was very excited to receive my glasses and was so happy to be able to see!

My husband and I have both been coming to Dr Jacobs for our annual eye check for several years. He is always careful, thorough, explains what he's doing and gives good advice. There isn't the biggest selection of frames in the store, but even with Covid precautions they made a series of good suggestions for me to try on and I'm happy with the result.

My wife and kids have been seeing Dr.Jacobs for many years and honestly cannot thank him enough for seeing me so promptly. It was a complete waist of time to visit cedar Sinai ER. He knew exactly what was wrong with my eyes and the drops he prescribed took away any pain or discomfort I had inherited due to sun exposure. Furthermore., his team fallowed up to see how my progress was going which was reassuring. Thank you for this and we as a family thank you as well !!!

Great customer service! Was running low on contacts during the shelter in place time period and they were incredibly responsive to help me get more ordered. They were great beforehand as well but their level of effort and care during this period really solidified it. Would highly recommend to anyone

I recently had an extremely unpleasant and impersonal experience here. I ran out of contacts and ordered new pairs, verbally authorizing them to charge my insurance. Every optometrist I've been to has offered me a trial pair to use while the order ships out but I was refused a pair from here. Additionally, they refused to give me a mini bottle of contact solution as well as a plastic contact carrying case. Instead, I was given names of contact solution brands I could buy. This felt extremely condescending and impersonal. These guys are real penny pinchers. Every single optometrist I've

Take this review with a grain of salt, because I'm especially high on humanity, and just feeling good today!
I came in here because I lost a screw for my eyeglasses, so it was a minor repair. They took my glasses, came back in a few minutes, and had fixed my eyeglasses at no charge! That right there is five star service.
From what I can see, they have a nice and diverse selection of eyeglass frames, and they are friendly and warm! However, they are not in my insurance network so I would be coming completely out of pocket if I were to ever buy a pair of eyeglasses here. Come check them out

I went there because I was in dire need of a new prescription and some stylish new frames. I made my appointment. The wait was very minimal, the doctor (dr Jacobs) was thorough and kind, and the office staff was so helpful in picking out a couple new pairs of specs and my new prescription. Support your neighborhood businesses. Their selection was pretty big, a kids section, frames starting at $79 and up to the fancy brands.
The wait for glasses will be approx 5-6 days which is about average when you go pretty much anywhere.
If you want an efficient and thorough eye exam with a plethora of

Been coming here for years. Dr Jacobs always remembers my name when I come in, even if it's just for an adjustment! He is very personable and a great doctor. He has given me great advice year over year as my eyes continue to change as well as my insurance.
Any problems that I've had, he's addressed. I've had issues over the years with contacts and every year when I come in for my exam I give them another shot with the newest tech. He's always up on that and I've gotten some great contacts the last couple years that are comfortable for me to wear.
The exams are thorough

Went here a few years ago to get fitted for contact lenses, and everything seemed more or less fine at the time. The lenses weren't very comfortable, but I trusted the doctor's reasoning for suggesting them over other brands.
However, after a visit to another optometrist today, it significantly changed my opinion about my visit.
When I got my contacts, I felt pressured into accepting lenses that weren't comfortable. The doctor insisted that the Biofinity lenses were a better fit for my eyes than the AcuVues that I felt were more comfortable. I yielded to his expertise, and ended
