I’ve trusted my eyes to Dr. Elder and Dr. Bell since I started wearing glasses for the last ~20 years. They’re very attentive to the health of my eyes and the effects of diabetes that I was diagnosed with in 2014. These gentleman know what they’re doing. Highly recommend making them your primary eye physician!

Also, try out the new dilation method they have, everything is done using this cool state of the art camera to view your entire eye and review all the internal veins and distinctions of the eye. I left the appointment feeling like I could help the next customer!! So dope to have a staff including the DR share their knowledge!

Walking in here, this looks like nearly any other optometrist's office you've likely ever been to assuming you've been to one of the larger chains before. The environment is sterile and they have several display cases for glasses like everywhere else.
But once I got past all of the initial similarities, I started to notice that this place has their "stuff" in order. The place is always clean, the staff is always helpful and friendly and the doctors have answered any and all questions me and my family have asked and been kind throughout the process.

First off, Drs. at Eyetex have always been professional; I've been going to one Eyetex or another for 20 years; prices & service have, up until now, been at least satisfactory. Then, there's DeZavala office:
First off, I had my Rx just done by an ophthalmologist the previous week, and Eyetex absolutely refused to honor it; they just had to charge me $150.00 for something I had just paid $35.00 for. And after they checked it, I could see their Rx was exactly the same as the one from the previous week - go figure.
But I was a bit annoyed that I now had $185.00 invested in exams, $150

If you have any sort of eye insurance DO NOT GO TO THESE CROOKS!!! Their price for an eye exam, for both glasses and contacts is $143 for a private pay patient. I have insurance - for the same exact exam they billed my insurance $208. I paid $48 the day I came in. My insurance paid $85 towards the exam - for a total of $133. I am now getting billed $75 that the "insurance didn't cover". Which means they want me to pay out of pocket $123 for an exam that costs a private pay patient $143 (while still getting $85 from my insurance company). Basically, you are not getting any benefit

My only criticism is that I wish they would implement an online patient portal where you could access your prescriptions. Outside of just being convenient, it's also environmentally-friendly. It also wouldn't kill them to add WiFi for guests as cellular signal in this area is 3/5 bars at best. Just a few thoughts that I hope you give some serious consideration.
