In general, Briar Cove has been a fantastic community thus far for our family dynamic- my mother is disabled and they have made every effort to accommodate to her needs in our apartment. Maintenance replies almost immediately to issues if not within 24 hours of receiving a request and the problem is (usually) solved in a single call, not to mention they are extremely friendly and work their tails off. Tamara is also an absolute superstar who Beztak is lucky to have found as she knows the roles of her job perfectly and is extremely personable with residents and her employees as I've watched how

Since moving into Briar Cove in September, Tamara Blevins has gone far beyond expectation as the leasing manager. There was a misunderstanding on my part about the apartment being unfurnished and Tamara did everything to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Tamara is the ultimate professional. She is still more than that, she brings to her position an empathy that makes one more truly a member of this community. Her curtesy and kindness are unexampled. Outside of the outstanding customer service I've received, the location is prime. Close to shopping and restaurants. It's also just a short

I’ll give them points for where it’s due. The location of the community is one of the best (close to everything one could need and downtown Ann Arbor) and apartments are spacious considering its Ann Arbor.
But what made me decide to move out was the management policies and attitude. First, whenever I tried to seek any sort of help, the replies on the phone were always very condescending and almost rude, sort of like trying to put me in my place. At first I assumed I in particular did something to tick them off, but reading the other reviews here, it seems to be a pattern. Even any of the email

DO NOT GET A GROUND UNIT WITH ANY TYPE OF WELL. This is my 3rd flood. No follow ups. No attempts to fix the problem. Told me its raining. I mean it does that from time to time, rain. Doesn't mean I should keep living with an apartment that floods.
I was pretty happy with the place. The floods and your response told me another story.

Don't live here. I liked my unit aside from some gross things, but the leasing manager, Dawn, lies profusely. Idk if she still works there, I moved out a while ago, but terrible experiences. They literally just sprayed white paint on the bathroom floor and called it new.... except they didn't even sweep up the dead bugs first so there were white painted bugs when I moved in. Door by porch was literally rotting out. My shower tiles were all cracked and moldy. I had to bleach and grout them myself because they said they weren't bad enough to fix. I did this place a favor by fixing

we’ve lived in briar cove and they had very very bad customer service, we couldn’t wait to leave. the management doesn’t care about what the residents want and need. We’ve complained about multiple things including MOLD and nothing was taken care of. I wish I read the reviews before we entered this apartment home. We had COVID and during this pandemic we where still charged with $200 late fee, the manager had no mercy on us and I even told them I would show him the positive COVID test. They just come up with payments you have no clue about. I had the maintenance team come fix

I’ve been living at this location for several months now and my experience with one of the staff members has been terrible. There is one particular staff member, who goes by the name of Brennan, who is always rude when I come into the office and addresses people in a condescending tone. I went to the office to simply ask questions concerning the apartment and he addressed me very rudely and unprofessionally. This is one of several experiences.
Also, this apartment has an insect problem and nothing has been done to fix it.

Great convenient location.
10 minutes to all your favourite shopping places.
Although, I appreciate all the hard work they do to keep the old apartment in shape.
Sadly the place is falling a part and I think the maintenance could do a better job. Sorry if I was wrong. They painted the place all white. Even the bathroom tiles which start to fall off after couple of use. The kitchen top is cheap plywood that gets scratched easily.
Window frames, door and shelf hinges have wore off and some are broken.
Utensils are old and using a lot of electricity.

I had a very bad experience in general and the worst was with one of the staff members. He was very unprofessional and had no respect to me while talking to me on several occasions to the point that I had to report him to Beztak company. I once called emergency maintenance but no one showed up (at least until I left the apt). Even when you ask for a regular maintenance, it takes days to do it and when I asked why, they said they are short in hands. The apts are very old, low maintenance from inside and outside, need a lot of work. I saw snails, worms and other insects coming from the carpet edges

Extremely disappointed in my experiences at this complex. Apartment is very close to I-94 so there tends to be a lot of traffic sounds, and very thin walls that make it difficult to ignore sounds coming from neighboring units. Additionally, I've had many problems with maintenance- from removing my front door without any prior notice to replace it to not responding to an urgent emergency request when sewage began leaking into my apartment during a global pandemic.
There are plenty of nearby communities with similar prices I plan to explore.

If I could give this apartment a 0 star rating I would. From our move in date, things were horrible. First off, our apartment was disgusting upon arrival. Bugs were lined up on all of the windows, the apartment was not freshly painted, and it was dirty. Unfortunately, the problems were far from over. We had a leak in our front door closet causing the ceiling to start collapsing in, which took 3 weeks to fix and and they continued to ignore the urgency of the issue. By our patio door, our floor started caving in, and the wood underneath the carpet was extremely rotted. Again, they ignored the urgency

When I first moved in the staff was very helpful. But, ever since moving in they have been very rude. Whenever I call or go in I feel like an inconvenience. Also, I had a rug on my patio and it was destroyed by maintenance. I was then told AFTER we are not allowed to have rugs. It is very careless and now cost me money for their miscommunication (I was told we were allowed to decorate our space but was not given any guidelines of what was allowed). Lastly, the rest of the reviews are correct - there are a LOT of bugs. All I will say is that the price is good for the location. I will most likely

Once the old property manager left, a woman named Kassi replaced them. Things went very downhill from there. Kara (the wonderful staff person) left. I assume because of Kassi. And next thing you know, my rent checks are being lost, and I'm getting huge fees for this, as Kassi insists they were never dropped off.
The maintenance staff became increasingly slower and ruder. The one kind maintenance person left as well. His name was Jabori. At one point, I was even sworn at by a maintenance person as I pulled my car out. They thought I was pulling out too quickly, and started swearing at me.

Briar Cove's maintenance staff has been wonderful. They are quick to respond to any repair needed. Recently, the gym and hot tube rooms received a new paint job, but the gym equipment/machines needs to be updated. Therefore I go to another gym for this reason. The apartments are not terrible. The kitchen layout funny to me. There's a wall separating the living room area from the kitchen. I love to cook and I spend a lot of time preparing food. I tend to miss what's happening in the living room because I'm in the kitchen and can not see and or hear what's going on in the

Since moving in I have noticed the property is beautifully maintained. Briar Cove is a dog friendly community with plenty of space for the dogs to roam. The location is great as it is close to lots of shopping and the expressway. The maintenance workers are friendly and timely with repairs. Parking can be scarce at times and the rent I feel is slightly high for the quality of the apartments. Overall a good choice!

Kassi was great. I think she is the property manager. I'm looking for a place for family who is re-locating to Ann Arbor and I had a lot of questions. She took me on a tour, understood I was looking for someone else and got me a lot of information to send to the actual renter. Other places in the area were very dismissive when they found out I wasn't going to be the renter. I really appreciate all the help Kassi gave me.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The leasing office is EXTREMELY unhelpful. I've had multiple things go wrong near and around my apartment that took months to fix. A broken washer took a week to fix, leak in our ceiling/roof took 1.5 months to fix (very upsetting), & most recently, an unsafe, unstable, cracked in half cement step on the third floor/flight of stairs has taken two months and counting to fix. We have renewed the lease twice due to not able to get a house yet but I can't wait to be out. Bugs are an issue too!!! Every day I'm killing giant spiders, centipedes

I have only had a positive experience at Briar Cove Apartments. The application process was as expected. You can do it online or in person, must provide two paycheck stubs, and wait two days for a result. You are given 7 days to fill out an apartment evaluation form (if anything is broken or needs replacement, etc.) After 7 days I noticed a crack in a window...I thought I might be held liable although I didn't recall breaking it. They said no big deal, they will replace it and added it to the original evaluation form so I don't have to worry about.

While my apartment was fairly clean and appeared newly renovated, the rent is extremely high and in the end not worth it.

After the toilet would not stop running, I put in another maintenance request. This time, the maintenance guys came into my apartment with their dirty, muddy shoes on and replaced a part in the toilet. The toilet still runs and after all that I was felt with a huge

*Great work, guys. Thanks for the nice message. I'm glad you're rectifying this clerical error two years after I've moved out.*
I lived here for a year, from July 2012 to July 2013. There are things I like a lot about the place. There are things that aren't great, but I can deal with. Then, there are the unmitigated disasters, that have marred all of the other positive experiences I've had, that will prevent me from recommending this place to anyone at all.
*The good:
The quality of the apartment unit is quite decent. My apartment was remodeled right before I moved in

I have been incredibly disappointed in Briar Cove Apartments. We had a mouse infestation, with little to no assistance. The front office is terrible. They took also months to pay us back for damages to our belongings from repeated flooding. And as of recently we receive a delinquent notice despite the fact our rent is elected as direct withdrawal. Instead of calling us over their error, they sent a eviction notice instead. The front office is completely unprofessional. I would not recommend renting from Briar Cove. However, I do agree the maintenance staff is very kind.

I lived here for 6 months from Aug 2010-January 2011 and had a fairly good experience. I loved that they gave my roommate and I an option of having a 6 month lease for a fair price (we both paid about 900 that included a set $36 water bill every month). They also have tennis court, a tiny gym, tiny spa, and a nice sized pool.
The apartment itself was pretty roomy and had lots of closet space which I really liked. Each bedroom had a walk in closet (the master bedroom was slightly bigger) and we had our own bathroom. Our kitchen was also pretty nice and welcoming, with a breakfast nook looking
