Services
Jumbo Shrimp - Hand battered in our famous beer batter or sauteed with fresh garlic infused oil. 3 cheese, topped with Wisconsin cheese curds. Add chicken 4.99, shrimp 6.99. Choice of Potato not included. Corned Beef Reuben - Slow cooked corned beef with melted Swiss, sauerkraut and thousand island dressing.
Must have enough electricity for chafers. If electric is not available then sterno type non electric chafers may be rented from Event Essentials at 608-846-5004. All extra food belongs to the client. Any unused items are not returnable. The client release Fitz's from all claims and liability of food borne illness at any time following the point and time of delivery.

Went there in September. Wife ordered a salad which was supposed to have pecans, feta cheese and assorted greens. It came with no cheese, one kind of lettuce and no pecans. Sent it back and they put some feta on the salad and brought it back. They should have started over.
Got the bill and paid with credit card. They charged me $1.40 for using my credit card. This place has really gone down hill.
I don't recommend this restaurant.

My family and I have been going to Fitz's for years. But the past year + they've gone down a lot. Food is hit and miss in regards to taste but definitely not as good as it once was. The other thing is they are WAY over priced for the quality of their food and the proportions esp for steaks & prime rib. Every time we go the lettuce on the salad bar is not fresh. In fact, nothing on the salad bar appears or taste real fresh. They serve a lot of tourist in the summer and every summer their prices go up. They need to pay closer attention to quality.

First let me say that I have been coming to Fitz's since it was called The Snack Bar so many years ago. It is hands down my favorite place to eat and I have so many fond memories of coming here with my grandparents as a child. I have brought so many friends and family members to dinner on the lake because I know I can count on a great experience. A weekend ago, my friend and I decided to go out to dinner at Fitz's On The Lake as it seemed like a great place to have an evening dinner on Lake Wisconsin.
My friend and I decided to order a side salad and a New York Strip steak and split the steak order. We are not big eaters and this is what we normally do.
Our meal arrived and everything looked good. That is until we started to split the steak. Upon doing the splitting of the steak, it looked a little gristly to begin with. One half the steak was very gristly. My friend had chosen that piece and she tried to eat it but kept

Beautiful location. But not a fan of their dog policy. We drove from Madison to have lunch on the water here. When I asked about our dog joining us for lunch on the outside deck.
Got a big no! The man running the grill said two dogs had a fight, because of that , no dogs allowed anywhere on the property.
I get it, it's there bar, but that sure seems like a overreacting to me of one bad instance.
Our dog had to stay in the car on a very hot day as we quickly eat and leave.

I first went to Fitz on the lake in 2014 with some friends passing through the area, and recently returned and made sure to come back and visit since our experience was so great the first time. We had the potstickers for an app, and they were alright but probably wouldn't get them again. Other than that the food and drinks were excellent and the staff was great! Great views outside on the deck.

I've been looking for a Supper Club with a view... and Fitz's doesn't disappoint particularly with an outside table timed just right for sunset over Lake Wisconsin. The Old Fashioneds were proper!
The service was fantastic. The star of the show aside from the sunset was the Brussels Sprouts appetizer. The beer battered haddock was good... the NY Strip was decent but my preference is for a more aggressively seasoned steak... plus it was a tad over cooked for my liking. I'd ordered it between medium rare and medium and it was probably medium plus. This said it was tender enough

I am not one to review harshly unless warranted. The bloodies were completely watered down and bland & the chaser was extremely warm. A pomegranate mimosa tasted Like hot cough syrup. Both drinks were dumped.
calamarI was so salty & overbreaded that my dog refused to eat it.

A nice spot on the water that wasn't to busy at lunch time on a Tuesday. Good service and the food is ok. Nothing spectacular but eatable. One of the few places with outdoor seating by the bay. Everyone had a mask and the tables are the proper distance apart so it felt safe. Alway fun to dine here if you can find a parking place.

We are here visiting family on the lake. We have been twice now in 4 days. I have to say, I am very happily surprised how good the food is. Our servers are also very nice. The avocado appetizer is delicious. The Bloody Mary and Brandy Old Fashioned to die for. We had fish tacos, haddock cake, burgers, Fish fry, salads, Reuben, and wings. All good. Good view and deck is social distanced. Go. Will go again before we leave this area.

Great place for lunch while in Wisconsin. Great food, friendly staff, views of Lake Wisconsin. I highly recommend the patty melt and onion rings. Have a cup of black bean soup before the burger and you have one heck of a meal, all at reasonable cost.
They have a nice bar, of course Packer (not Bears) game specials. You can have your old fashions either way Bourbon or Brandy.

My friend and I popped in on a Friday night fish fry.
We put our name on the list we're given an hour wait time as larger groups who put their names in after us were seated. I asked about our table once it was an hour and twenty minutes in and they had 12 names crossed off after us including 4 tops and 6 tops. Completely disrespecting us.
We each tried the mix, one baked, one fried. The baked was really dry, and the fried was fried. Neither were seasoned well.
